  1. Fair enough, he's done great lately, especially considering he's out of possession.
  2. No he wasn't. Lost it a couple of times early on but then got a good assist and put in a great shift defensively. Usual canny option off the bench for us.
  3. Murphy sub was the perfect tactical change. He was ropey when he first came on but sticking him at RWB with freedom to get forward won us the game. Shutting down the noise and moving onwards and upwards.
  4. Today was an opportunity to draw a line under an absolutely minging late August (despite results). It was an opportunity to change the agenda and they've taken it.
  5. Pope - 6. Livramento - 6 (but got better) Krafth - 6. Burn - 7. Kelly - 7. Bruno - 6. Joelinton - 6. Longstaff - 7. Barnes - 7. Isak - 6 (saved a dire performance) Gordon - 5.
  6. Nowt three wins out of four can't go some way to curing. It was critical that we came out of today having not fueled the bubbling toxicity. The lads made sure of it. Fucking GET IN.
  7. Honestly, the character of this team. And thank God for that bunch of wet wipes Spurs. Fancy not getting the job done when we were rattled. Endlessly powderpuff under that melt in the dugout.
  8. Can't underestimate the size of that win. I just adore this team. Fuck everything else, please let's just move on and forget the noise.
  9. Yeah, frustrating and harsh too. Pretty sure it was his first foul and given that it wasn't hard, think he deserved a bit of grace off the ref.
  10. Well off the top of my head he was there to rebuild the move for the goal after the corner, and switched one absolute raker out to Barnes on the wing.
  11. Love how punishing we are for the goal, like. Spurs switch off for just enough time and it's a really clinical finish.
  12. Deserves no shade at all today. Positionally and physically very good and played some nice passes.
  13. Pretty encouraging half but we'll probably need to up our levels a bit to see it out. The loss of control after the stoppage was utterly predictable but we did well to keep them at arms length and we're doing better physically than we have in previous games. Longstaff has been really good. Tino makes me nervous; delivery very poor and often looks out of position far too centrally.
  14. No gripes with the team. Quality all over it and on the bench too. Very anxious about the prospect of a bad result and what that'll do to the mood of the place, with tabloid sharks already circling and portions of the support busting a gut to feel hard done by. Would take a point.
  15. What a [poor language removed] shame. Poor [poor language removed].
  16. Was coming here for a similar rant. Was very pleased with my Wissa shout but what's the point?
  17. Wish McCoist would shut up for a few seconds.
  18. Agree entirely, but am hopeful the home advantage might pick us up a bit. The receivers in midfield and attack have been off it too; Isak and Joelinton in particular on Wednesday.
  19. Don't think Krafth should be dropped. For all we haven't been great in possession for large swathes of the last two matches, we've been pretty solid in the backline. Can't wait for the game to get here tbh.
  20. Howay man. He writes for a tabloid, arguably the worst of them. His coverage is quite clearly sensationalist.
  21. I don't think it's about having thin skin, it's about being frustrated by hacks like him driving a narrative which impacts the club.
  22. Good post. Particularly re the bit in bold. Really can't be doing with the Craig Hope-ish catastrophising when there's no actual catastrophe.
