  1. Yup. We underestimate how much just having Owen on the pitch worries the opposition.
  2. The only important thing this season is to keep PL status and I don't really care how we manage it.

Just got N.O. back and now TT is down. This is messing with my vibes.
  4. I'd go along with this. To begin with bring Owen on around the 70th min when Shola visibly looks fucked. I'm old skool in the sense if it's working don't change it.
  5. what do you think of coloccini and gutierrez ? Pair of them are definitely better than we had. Ask me again at the end of February when I see how they handle the winter but they both are OK IMO. As for xisco, pace is not something you switch on and off just because you come on for 20 minutes. You either have it or you don't and from what I've seen so far there is nothing in his game to suggest he is any faster than shambles. I couldn't really give a fuck what deportivo fans think as spanish fans rated the likes of luque and marcelhino. Just about sums them up really. Xisco is a hard working average squad player. Not sure about Nacho but I think the loan ends soon anyway.
  6. Only just read this. Best way to prepare for the Championship I guess. What a clown. One or two prospects from the lower tier I can understand, but he sounds a little too into it....
  7. Im more than happy to discuss it because I see it as a real possibility. Our current view (after listening to the members at the meeting) is that we're offering a chance for him to meet us and discuss. Not for us to tell him what to do, that would be egotistical but for us to state what we see as problems, him to give his view of things and both sides to see how they can help the other. That may result in us agreeing to stop boycotts and other action in return for him agreeing to invest enough in the team come January to ensure we stay up. I honestly dont know how that meeting would pan out, the sceptic in me says it wont happen because he will refuse to meet with anyone on this. If it does then I will be pleasantly surprised. As you've already agreed above though the NUSC is not responsible for the current Ashley stance, you may be able to argue that he may have changed his current stance before now if we hadnt been there that would be fair enough (nut hypothetical as we will never know) but if we do meet and an agreement is reached that changes his position then the credit would have to go to NUSC. If he does show up remember plan B I'll have the car revving outside.
  8. St Pauli are the world's best football club. I am planning a pilgrimage to the Millerntor next summer.
  9. Very good read and an excellent article. Partly for the reasons above I go to St Pauli games rather than HSV.
  10. While breeding blind white rats in a desk drawer.
  11. you've become so fkn right-wing Parky. El Che is repulsed and will most likely be twitching in his grave. Everything I know is wrong.
  12. No I meant increasing his "pain" in hanging on a bit - nothing violent but affecting SD sales as a fair alternative. Right but it's complete speculation as to how much he's selling at. 300m? 200m? 450m? All figures that have been reported and probably the truth is in there somewhere, but why take action given such incomplete information? Put another way, if no buyer is found could a group be so certain that it was the asking price -- barring of course something like quotes from a sheik. Is it the NUSC job to sell the club? Strange. From their motives and statements, you would have thought it was. You got me there...(ho ho).

  14. Aye, its sticking in my neck, just let the Ashley thing go. Its over, he wants to sell, be bigger than that and move on. When this is all over I'll see what policies and views they have as I'll open to reevaluating my position on it. Yep, i've made my mind up. I wont be part of it until this whole "ashley out" thing is gone. That was the whole idea behind starting it you gimp. The point being that as a supporters group looking to get rid of the ownership, they can only be affective up to the point of getting an expression of the desire to sell the club. Once that has been acheived there is nothing else they can do. They can not 'protest' someone into buying us and therefore, once the initial objective has been acheived, any further demonstrations of unrest are pointless at best and quite probably counter-productive. Especially in the current climate of risk-aversion amongst the financial community. End of debate on the matter. ...yes and then it will evolve into a more normal 'Supporters Club'...For now it is still in the birthing phase and is driven by the primary motivation. Agreed. Of course if it doesn't evolve people (rightly so) will lose interest in it.

Unless you're saying it won't evolve? Even monkeys evolved. Not all of them though eh?

Do you think that is it's only agenda? No. It will evolve. Get a dictionary and look up what catalyst means.
