  1. He has semi-crock written all over him. I see no good reason to sign him.
  2. They have lost their prolific goalscorer apparently.
  3. If you could fly like that long faced wanker out of heroes, i think his name is Nathan. Would you fly up inside a cloud and have a wank? Only if it was a cum-ulus.
  4. Percentage football. Big job. Sections of the support without patience. Not enough money on the table from the board. Given time will build a difficult side to beat, occassional big scalp top 6 stuff. Over analytical missing factor 'x'...Understands the game but lacks vision. Modus operandi is to fix the club top to bottom will need two years. Should be given the 2 years and money. Then bring in the next level of manager who can challenge for top 4 consistently. I wouldn't sack him unless we were in relegation battle which we won't be. Review in summer at the very least. Yes he will be in a job unless we've lined up a top tier manager (not Benny). if he understands the game, why did he take 3 left footed players off on saturday and replace them with 3 right footed players, so that Rafathrew on babel who had a field day. why was he trying to consolidate a 3-0 defeat at home by going all defensive. even under Souness and Roeder, you would always give us game. you lot were pitiful on saturday. we never realy got out of first gear, and only Torres had an off day, we could have scored 6 or 7, and thats being kind. the most worrying thing for you lot, is the team had no fight. i watched it on telly after i got back home from the match, and your players came out from the half time break looking defeated. You make good points and tell you the truth I have no idea. IMO some of the players are against him......The little comfort zone they see as Newcastle has been rocked by SA. They also suspect he doesn't have the full support of the board which is Mort and MA fault, they need to back Sam or get rid...They seem imo to be sitting on the fence waiting for events to shape their thinking. i've never rated Sam as a manager. his Bolton teams played the worst brand of football, even the Bolton people wouldnt go and watch it. Newcastle have always prided themselves in playing good football, and he wont do that for you. Sam made a name for himself picking up cheap flops from big clubs with a point to prove. that wont work at a club of Newcastles size, your fans arent stupid, and they'll expect better. FWIW, i think youu'd be better with someone like Jol, who could do a good job for you, IF, he is given the control to buy players, and not have a DOF like atSpurs, oreven get Houllier, who would be good for you, and he'd put trophies in the cabinet. England are sniffing round him though, so you might need to act quick to get him It may well be that SA fails here. But it should be the case that he was given a chance imo.

  6. Mourinho v Shearer. Case closed. The only worry is whether the FA have the balls to hire Mourinho with his track record of outspokeness. The old buffers will be shitting themselves.

Are you challenging anything in that post?

  9. Mourinho is light years ahead of Rafa. i dont think he is. most of Mourinhos buys at Chelsea flopped. he did well at Porto, but Rafa had an excellent record in Spain, and in Europe. Rafa had a much bigger job at Liverpool than Mourinho had at Chelsea, and Rafa hasnt had teh funds Mourinho had. we've underachieved in the league i think, but we have been to 2 European Cup finals in 3 seasons, and that was the reason on 2 occasions we tailed off in the league. Rafa will get it right at Liverpool, we havent lost a league game in 6 months, despite missing key players for large parts of that, in Agger and Alonso especially, and when we click, as we have done a few times this season, we are as good as anyone in this league. We'll be there or thereabouts this season, although we could do with more cover at Centre back and a decent right winger. having Kewel back is a big boost if he can stay fit, and Babel looks like he could be amazing, while Torres is top class. CL is rigged. good point. he is shit. we should sack him and get your fat headed gaffer in as a replacement. Yes.

  11. now that would be a shame I thought you'd be gutted Parky. He'll get the sack, Allardyce won't last much longer and Newcastle was one of the clubs mentioned (along with Bayern Munich and England) by Benitez' mate Guillem Ballague on Revista de la Liga last nite. :parky: I think he'd be alright here. mackems.gif
  12. Looking at the games left in Group A there is a strong chance Liv aren't going to make it out of their group.
  13. Overall the strength of the PL is spread much higher with mid-table clubs suddenly with more money.
  14. The expectation that comes with the new owner is working against SA imo. Possibly but anecdotal evidence would suggest a huge amount of people were against Souness from the off but the vocal disapproval at the match was virtually nonexistent. I'm wondering why those people who made their feelings known on Saturday were so quiet for so long back then. Tricky one. Perhaps theyv'e got used to hounding managers out?....Not sure.
