That's the spirit. Even if we lose I hope diver Gerrard and whinger Carragher get a couple of healthy kicks from Butt and Smith.
-
This is actually more of a Smith game.

Hopefully this thread will get another lease of life today after some Benny fuck ups.

This is the kind of doom laden fixture where we nick 1-0's.

Like we can talk. Certainly not, doesn't change the fact that it's a ridiculously high figure for that player. Disagree. I think he's tremendous. I'd be delighted if City usurped the deal as has been reported in some quarters. He's spent a cartload already though hasn't he? Get the feeling with him he wil always try and deflect criticism and responsability elsewhere...The board too slow..Gerrard knackered from England games etc...

Wouldn't want him here before he managed somewhere else and he would make a terrible England manager if he did it now.

Benny as ever ready to blame everybody else: "Rafael Benitez insisted he never enjoyed mind games with Jose Mourinho but he used his press conference yesterday to send a pointed message to Liverpool's owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett, and cast major doubt over his future. Hicks and Gillett are not prepared to discuss transfer targets until they meet Benitez next month and the Spaniard is clearly deeply unhappy at being told he cannot immediately tie up Javier Mascherano, who is being targeted by Barcelona, on a permanent basis for a £17 million fee that he has negotiated. Deeply unhappy: Rafael Benitez is concerned that Liverpool could miss out on two major signings He is also worried that dithering could enable Manchester United or Real Madrid to beat him to the signing of Racing Santander's Argentine defender, Ezequiel Garay."

Sounds too confrontational and aggressive to me, Parky. That heavy handed, Souness-like approach doesn't work these days and, quite frankly, dinosaurs like you scare me. Perhaps I've come across wrong. What I mean is talking to the players individually about their roles and also listening to them about how they feel and read the game...About how to squeeze play when defending and then finding space when attacking...About showing them videos of the old Lazio systems and the old and new Man U systems and what the differeances are in the approach with and without the ball...About appointing the correct captain and not the first bloke who wanders past the office....and a million other things. There is no point enforcing a system on players who a) clearly don't understand it b) aren't really suited to play it. On the other hand SA has done a lot of good things as well.

Oba needs to run onto through ball from the right not be stuck in the middle jumping for butterflies. *If only I'd done those fucking coaching badges* Sort this lot out in 2 weeks.

Brian Barwick? Aye. Have to agree. In strong formal structures the descision makers should be held accountable in some way. In the corporate world he'd be out on his ear.

Basically we have 2 world class players imo Rooney and Terry...That's it. Micah looks like he could get there as well. -
For a giggle you should tell him he's 99.9% African.

Liverpool fans will tell you the side misfires more when Alonso isn't playing... You could take Lamptart out of the Chelsea side but see what happens if Drogba or Essien is missing..

....will be held by the hand and guided by the thier foreign compatriots in the various club sides...
