Because that round thing the players kick around is yet to go in between the metal posts at the end where the Carlisle goalkeeper is placed and over the white line in between said posts. blueyes.gif Lot of typing for 0 laughs. -

Initial talks don't get past that very stage for whatever reason? -- From the Journal, mostly same comments but the feeling that if something doesn't happen in a few days he'll turn to Europe from necessity. He said: ?Unfortunately everything this week has progressed to a certain level and has then fallen on stony ground. ?We?ve not been able to bring anyone in for a medical and it?s been an incredibly frustrating two weeks in terms of bringing players in. ?There are few defenders with Premiership experience around and that?s our main priority at the moment. I like going into the foreign market but having too many new players from abroad could cause us severe problems in the early part of the season. ?They take a little bit of time getting used to the Premiership and having too many of them together at the same time would not be the done thing. ?If that?s the only option, I?ll have to take it sooner rather than later, but we are trying to bring players in with Premiership experience and we are having to wait to get the right one.? I find this foreign def thing a bit of a myth. If they are good enough they can play anywhere as long as they are physically not at a disadvantage. aye, that's being foreign. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! As long as we don't bring in a raft of Morrocans, Tunisians and jinky little Mexicans....[Alan Hansen/]

Perhaps Emre is involved?
-
Maldini springs to mind Shak my darling. He was alright, I suppose. Ya poofta. Maldini has a fair left foot on him.
-
Stocks of prozac are running low.
-
He can play either side and he is two footed ish... Weren't Bayern instersted in Emre? Seem to remember summat like that.

Riise, Lahm, Heinze, Baines, Shorey, Barzalgi, Ferdinand or Mertesacker. First two being mentioned on skunkers. what has been mentioned on Skunkers? That Mort and others caught an early morning flight from Stansted to Munich today and the target is lahm Is Lahm a better LB or RB? Can't see why Bayern would sell him for £7m though, seems a little cheap from someone who's highly rated, German and plays for Bayern. Unless they were getting a player on top. I'd value Lahm at around £12m. Lahm though the mind boggles.

I would say it is a possibility.

I see what you're saying, but it is still irritating as it is still going to cost him two games. If the season had started these would be two games we would be without our top striker. It's definitely frustrating. It's funny because when I saw his interview on Sky Sports yesterday and he was talking about not feeling guilty because he has only played 13 games for us in two years, it all made me feel a bit nervous. It's like he was tempting fate with that kind of talk. See NSG's post. Yeah but hasn't Owen been constantly working on his lower body all through his rehabilitation and since he has been back. Wasn't he just recently talking about how he hasn't really had a break and he is as fit and strong as he has ever been? I'm not trying to wind anyone up or be a pain but I honestly think he is just one of those guys that will always pick up injuries. Even when they are not major ones, it will always be little ones here and there adding up to around 10 odd games a season being missed. I take your concerns onbaord however the main problem with Owen is that he started top flight football too early and played too many games in his teens and for that alone he will pick up ongoing injuries. But he is the best finisher in the PL without a doubt.

Since when has Edmilson captained/been in the frame for the captaincy of Brazil??? He writes such bollocks Must admit I had a laugh at that. mackems.gif

It is a classic pre-season injury. Thigh strains and calf strains are common there's probably a dozen pro's right now with the same injury we only hear about it cause it's Owen.
-
It's a strain and nothing to worry about ffs!
