what planet are you so are you assuming that emre would be welcomed with open arms at everton uranus and no. emre is better than arteta full stop. put emre in a good team and he will shine like at inter. and dont say he hardly played. he started at least 50% of games. and for inter thats great. look now, inter never play the same 11 twice. even now viera has only played 50% of games for them. i put it to you, that if steven gerrard or paul scholes were in this team they wouldnt produce 50% of what they can do for there current teams becuase your only good as the players you play with. and most of our players are crap. I don't think anybody in their right minds doubts Emre is a very good player and as we see going down this thread won't be easy to replace. The management need to seriously consider the best way of keeping him and utilising him.

Like moths to a flame. Vic showing signs of having been working on his act. blueyes.gif

Looking at the options and the prices, Emre will leave a huge hole with the options and creative play he gives us. I concede that in some games his passing is off and his corners are shite...But when he gets on the ball the first thing that happens is that the opp drop off 10 yards...Always a sign of respect. blueyes.gif

Wesley Sneijder? IMO wouldn't cost a bomb, good touch and creative. blueyes.gif

I respect your opinion. But I don't think Arteta is a £15m player tbh.

Love that bit. ....anyway I'd take one of those Dutch boys or Big Sam over Rodent. blueyes.gif

Price on head €25m though Melan my dear. Mini Zizou. blueyes.gif
-
Not a bad shout actually...Would come down to the price or maybe some kind of exchange plus cash. I would have Arteta. blueyes.gif

What is our creative mf solution... I can fantasize about Nasri (Marseilles €25m) or the rehabilitation of Riquelme at SJP or stealing Van der Vaart from Hamburg, but who are our reaslistic creative mf options?

I think they might get rid of him, but Shearer is at least 2 years away. He hasn't started his Uefa Pro 'B' license yet iirc.

Maybe it's difficult for us to target or get the best candidates?

That's a ringing endorsement of your gaffer there! That being said, we could play the same game with some pearls of Glenn Roeder wisdon too I read the quotes Parky mentioned, and Roeder's response was that relegation "has not crossed my mind". Well sir, may I advise you to look at the table, the fixture lists, and the DVD's of our previous few games, take the time to consider the possibility and then plot a course to avoid it? Whether he considers it or not....That de ja vu feeling must be on him now. blueyes.gif

I don't think Martins did have to drop back tbh - the occasions when he did I was asking what the fuck he was playing at. Dyer, yes because he'll pick the ball up and run at defenders and commit them, but it's pointless Martins dropping back to get the ball trapped under his feet and relinquish possession ("Where's it gone? It's disappeared!? The ball's disappeared!"........."I'll have that thank you"). His positioning and sense of tempo is woeful Gemma...Can't disagree with anything your saying man. blueyes.gif

On the contrary I can see Villa going down. blueyes.gif Rich irony for some on here.
-
Pearce said yesterday he thinks we can get sucked into the relegation battle.
-
Totally agree. My particular bugbear is that Roeder still hasn't told him to come in from the right rather than the left. His starting positions are awful in the final attacking phase. Just seems to run about anywhere. blueyes.gif

Benny like Mourinho likes to have two sides one a little more geared to the CL. Squad depth is vastly overrated...

I agree with this. But unfortunately I don't think Liverpool will sell him, simple as. I think Benitez will probably see Crouch as an excellent option to have in the squad - as he proved yesterday. He may not be first choice for Liverpool next season but I think they will definately want to keep in around. Crouch is an excellent footballer, he always seems to produce the goods when required. Would love him here but I can't see it happening. They're buying Villa.

I see what you're saying but I'd get rid of either Owen or Martins AND Shola. blueyes.gif

yes suazo is good more than average striker.... but i am not sure about his intelligent playing... he did seem similar to martin... good poacher... just like defoe.. i'd prefer Luca Toni.... i heard some rumour that Luca Toni want out from Fiorentina in order to get twice of wages for his last few years of his career.... i heard also his current wages at Fiorentina is not more than 15 K/week... if i am not wrong? ...just getting to that too old last payday stage...Not for me.

...if I was buying I would have bought Suzao over Kuyt/Martins/Crouch. But we only have one scout and he's still watching Luque.
