Was gonna start typing giving Pardew credit for making such a move at half time but I'll put a caveat to that in that I'll only endorse it if there's sound logic to the change in tactics that making two changes would bring. i.e. making changes for the sake of it just wont cut it.

This. What's changed since last season? They looked and played like they would have ran through a wall if Pardew asked them too. Are they in the huff because Pards promised new signings? Looks like they're not happy with the tactics themselves or I am reading too much in to it?

Has he looked a winger in the games he's played like? He looks more of a creative midfielder and certainly not the kind who could terrorise a full back. It's the best available solution. Howay man, the best solution is obviously to disregard any idea of creativity and hoof the ball at Ba and Cisse's heads. Problem with that is they both go for they same hoofed ball and the opposition pick up the second ball with ease. Don't think I've ever seen Ba win the header and Cisse peeling away a la Carroll and Nolan.

Just praying that it's today that Ba and Cisse finally 'click' as front pairing but wouldn't be placing a wager on it.
