Let's see the mackems boycott oil and gas over winter. Fingers crossed. Wasn't aware they were connected yet.

So when he does something good like pays off £100 million of debt he's only paying off "his debt" but when he does something bad he's making a fool of "our club". Do you ever post anything positive you miserable little person?
-
Aye, actually. Do measure success in how quickly he does it? How much are you willing to bet that the club is worth more than double what it is now in three years? How come the season tickets are going up for next year? He's pissing millions away, apparently. Why does he need an extra £20 off me? Naive beyond belief.
-
Why a warning flag? We were hardly going to try and keep hold of an unhappy player. Reports at the time said that he wanted to go. Source? People trying to rationalise a pointless sale?
-
If he didn't then pass that £100 million onto the next club owner then you'd have a point, but he will so its cost him nothing. Eight months ago you were arguing the opposite with me.
-
The sale of Faye was a big warning flag in retrospect. Utterly pointless sale of a decent player.
-
Clearly the place is a millstone around his neck. He's going to make a fortune when he gets shot of us, and you'd think he'd taken in a homeless person the way he goes on.
-
Even if you took all the signings of the last four years, spread their transfer fees over five years - which I'm sure most clubs wouldn't have gone for - and taken away what Ashley has received on players he hasn't personally paid for, the most we could possibly still owe would be under £25 million.
-
We'd nail on head Sorry but i dont think that deliberately booting someone has a place in football, contact sport or not. If it was the other way round we'd be absolutely fuming This.

Oh my. Ashley is playing the martyr yet again. Sorry, but I don't believe you.
-
Even if they are franchised, won't they pull out should their takings take a massive hit? It will hurt him somehow?
-
It's not so much Keegan returning, it's Ashley and his cronies going. I'm not annoyed with the amount of money spent or the system that's in place to recruit players; it's the way they've tried to conceal it. If Ashley had said at the start that he didn't want to spend a lot, and Keegan was only there to motivate players, it would be hard to criticise him.
-
Keegan returning would be like making a dramatic speech and walking out. Then having to go back for your coat.

Can see Ashley just offering Keegan a shit load of money to shut the hell up and keep up appearances.

Any player joining Liverpool should get a good burglar alarm

The money these players are on, they could easily afford to pay a mate to look after their house/stuff while they're away. -
Is this a permanent solution or just an in-terim one? This is the open-shirted fella, isn't it?

If this was all agreed on the 16th Jan, how come KK was apparently still unaware of it just 2 weeks later? The statement from the club is trying to rewrite history, we've had Wise saying Keegan had the final say on transfers and Keegan saying that Wise reported to him - the club never stepped in to say any different and is now claiming this whole set up was in place from day one and everyone had agreed to it. This has been said time and time again on this thread. The only reason it has needed to be reiterated is down to the Contrary Marys on here refusing to acknowledge the - now blindingly obvious - subterfuge that's gone on.

I've got some ITK info on the next manager. I can't disclose his name, but take it from me, Gepetto is busy carving in the workshop as we speak. If Dennis can pull a few strings, the new gaffer will be in place by Monday.
-
I find it odd how during a time when our club is being brought to its knees, some people are rubbing their hands in glee just because they were against Keegan from the start. Well done, you got what you wanted. At what cost though?
