Frustrated with him in the first half, there was a period when he didn't even seem to look for a black and white shirt and just hoofed it as long as possible. Did much better in the second half, looked much calmer and confident. More of the that, please!

We've had both of them at the club for nearly two years, and they've started like three games together. I bet you that defenders will shit themselves if Owen and Martins were both in form and playing together.

Again, people forgetting the 2 months leading upto January. He's scored 6-7 goals, and I think most of them came by October. Martins was abysmal before the ACN, but he's now returned and for all the minutes he's been on the pitch since he's returned, he's looked dangerous as soon as he gets the ball. I was much more confident in something happening when he had the ball than when any other player in our team had it. We're desperate for a player like Martins, and it's ludicrous not to use him when he's available.

You can see that Barton has got very good vision. He does often find the right passes, but at the moment, he often lacks the quality to deliver them. It often seems as he's despereate to impress and tries to do too much. I do think it could be valuable to have someone in midfield who doesn't just pass it backwards as soon as he gets the ball, but Barton really must start finding his own team mates for him to be worth keeping.

Definitely. He wasn't over the top either (like Keane for Tottenham), just frustrated enough. He must've known that he had a good game, and, like the rest of us, couldn't understand why he was subbed. I'm sure him and Kev will sort it out, if there's anything to sort out.

Harsh. He wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination, but he wasn't that bad. Barton was just useless. No, I think I might actually agree with Baggio here. If Butt can get praise for putting in a decent defensive shift, so should Barton. Faye was worse.

Let's not forget how shit we were in the first half, especially in possession. We gave away the ball extremely often, something that won't happen as often if Emre's playing. He is also our most creative player per minute this season and should start when he's fit. Unfortunetly, he just like Martins, seems to be the easy player to drop.

Absolutely clueless management!!!!! Martins should seriously start considering his options next season. The guy is struggling to get a game when he's clearly the best option up front. When he begins to get some confidence the managers usually do their best to destroy it. Get lost. It got us an important point. The last time we had a team pegged back for a significant period of time, we crumbled and conceded on the break. Lost the game in the flash. No need risking it again. Maybe he should have taken Viduka off rather than Oba, but Viduka could hold it up. It was a frustrating sub but in our circumstances it wasn't worth risking getting caught out on the break (again). No offense, but you didn't even see the game. No matter how you try and twist and turn things, it was clueless by Keegan. Also, Vidukas "hold up" resulted in him losing the ball three times in a row after the sub.

Barton, for every good thing he does (he actually do play some good passes), he fucks up 20 times.

Much, much better second half. Martins is our best player, there isn't a doubt in my mind. Setting up chances for others and creating for himself, just what we've been missing lately. Carrol should've come on for Viduka, he never looked up for it and looked tired in the second half.

Carrol looked more up for it when he was seen in the backround once than most of our players on the field. I don't fucking care that he's not made any impact in the (few) senior games he's played, at least he's got some sort of momentum when it comes to scoring.

Fuck me, can someone tell Enrique to not hoof it downfield every fucking time he gets the ball? Martins is the only one who looks hungry, no surprise there though.

This last half hour has felt like an eternity! I just want the game to start, and to see the lads being up for it!!

Come on Oba! Decent line-up. Would've liked to see Zoggy in for Butt, with Geremi playing the holding role though. Would've given us more pace, creativity and width.
