Kaboul looks decent actually - carries the ball out of the defence well, usefull on the counter attack i think. Sunderland have controlled the last few minutes though, but have made sloppy mistakes.
Aye, bar Kaboul, the Spurs defence have looked really shaky. Jenas spends most of his time walking around, doing nothing...
Want them to beat their own record, but as the FA finds out just before the season starts (and after sunderland had to sell their "best" players) that Wigan, Derby and Reading all "cheated" they get relegated instead, leaving Sunderland up for another year of agony and another easy six points for Newcastle
I'm half-for it half-against it.
I remember going to the Liverpool game in the 04/05 season, and there were singing coming from all over the ground. Although no great atmosphere, it was better than what I saw at the Arsenal game this season, where the Toon Ultras (horrible, horrible name!!) were the only ones singing.
It's June ffs.
It's August Now ffs! (been waiting two months to say that!) and we still haven't signed a left back.
Actually my point was (although not very well made) we'd already had 4 (this is the 5th) Transfer Windows to sort this issue out! If we go into the season with a right footed, nineteen year old centrehalf as our left back, I for one will probably shout "I don't believe it" in the style of Victor Meldew.
(Saying all that...... I don't think we will, I trust Sam to do something!)
It was June when I made that post though in fairness. I reckon a left-back will arrive before the window closes though. You can quote this if it doesn't happen
Count on it.
Bump
Harper
Solano (Carr)Taylor Roz Enrique (N'Zogbia)
Milner (Solano) Geremi Smith N'Zogbia (Milner)
Martins Viduka
The names in brackets are if Enrique is not fit to play. Unfortunately, I think we'll see Butt and Geremi in the middle with Smith upfront with Martins, as I don't think Sam thinks Viduka is fit enough.
----- Geremi --- Barton -----
FTW.
Box-to-box attacker mixer-upper in Barton, while Geremi is the cool, calm and collected playmaker who can play the ball and spread the play - who'd probably sit back. Don't see why it wouldn't work.
Agree, and I'd stick Smith in instead of Barton while Barton is injured.
Geremi and Barton/Emre (depending on who we play) with Butt and Smith as back-up doesn't sound half-bad for CM. Certainly better than Parker, Emre and Butt
