Anyone listening to the Barton-intervue? Sounds like a good man, tbh
-
Yeah man you're right, I'll spend the whole match looking at the crowd to try and catch a glimpse of a man sat there in a sombrero to disguise himself.... or I could actually watch the match.

Why would people be up in arms about signing a player that makes the fans of the club where he used to play gutted? If the Villareal-fans would be doing the Happy-Dance about this, then you'd have a point, but the fact is that we're signing a Spanish U-21 international who plays in the position we're worst off in. Now, why would people be up in arms if was Roeder again??

Don't you think our medical team might need a brake? They did do two on Friday, you know?
-
That alone is worth the gamble
-
And about 80% of the Toon fans are unhappy...

Sounds like LB that Sam said he wanted, making the reports even more credible

As long as we get Enrique, I'm not fussed at all about him going to Everton. Except perhaps that we'll competing for a European place with them
-
Going by our logic in the Smith-thread, he'll never concede a goal!
-
It's not completely impossible to score in two seconds is it? Just run up and shoot, shouldn't take the ball more than two seconds to travel past the goalline, should it? If he managed that, it'd be 102600 goals per season! Must be some kind of record! you're forgetting it would take longer because after your team had scored the others would kick off,as such it would take longer than 2 secs to score each subsequent goal. i cannot fucking believe i am pissed enough to post that pile of shite That doesn't matter though. He'd still have scored an avarage of one goal every two seconds for the entire season.

well...its if the first half, i'd go with the assumption that he'd do it again after the break, which leads to 76 a season. What if he scored in like the first minute and got injured in the process? That'd mean 3240 goals a season! I can't believe you worked that one out. 90*36, no great effort like

We'll have Alan "gay-icon" Smith, Ivica "best dressed Serb" Dragsomething and José "male model" Enrique... Sam must've read the "We need sexy players"-thread

Have to say, I'm happier than ever that it's the West Ham game that I'll be going to I hope to fuck that Smith, Barton and/or Drago kicks the shit out of Dyer. I've never hated Dyer, quite the opposite, but I've just grown tired of him. His performances at the end of last season was Pattison-esque. Good riddance
-
That's good news, isn't it?

Fourth time it's been translated in this thread. I was at work all night yesterday, couldn't be arsed reading through the thread now

Article on Enrique from a Swedish Villareal fansite: The idiot of the Century: Jose Enrique to Newcastle Left-back Jose Enrique came from Valencia last summer, he came in cheap and with no expectations. After a couple of months, however, he had earned a place in the starting line-up and ended up as one of the best players of the season. This was not good enough for Llaneza, who bought the Spanish international Joan Capdevilla. Jose Enrique would (unexplainable) be on the bench this season, if not for Newcastle. Newcastle has made one of their best signings in the history of their club in buying young Enrique. In Newcastle he'll walk straight into the first team, as long as he can cope with the tempo of the league. Everything just feels heavy at the moment, Enrique was one of my personal favourites. We don't know how much we got for Enrique, but it doesn't matter. In times like these, you just want to lie down and cry

Fucking hell, saw this on SSN at work and I was like "What?! Who?!" Can't be arsed reading the whole thread, but I understand that we've got no quotes from either Allardyce nor Enrique? I'll just stay optimistic with a hint of cautiosness til it's all settled What a day
