He has been on a downward slope for the last six months, but most put that down to fatigue and wanting away from Arsenal.

They couldn't just wait around indefinitely though. 17 weeks with no end in sight, you have to draw the line somewhere. We were already a week into the (very belated) transfer window for the new season, potential targets are going to be getting snapped up and a potential new manager might get other offers and time runs out to prepare for the new season.

Only good news from all this is that Ashley seems to have been fucked over. I'll do my absolute best to be as petty as possible and even if it inflicts great pain in me I'll enjoy Ashley being miserable.

Can't see it, unfortunately. This was it. Ashley isn't selling for less than £300m, unfortunately we're not worth anywhere near that with how much is needed in infrastructure, especially now with Covid-19. For us to get sold, we needed a sovereign wealth fund, and that's not happening anymore.

This is the one time that it's not down to Ashley (it absolutely has been the other 15 times, and will be the next 15 times as well). Best kit we've had in years. They kept it simple and gave us everything we wanted (even down to the white Puma logo and not a "black cat"), people still complain. If we have red numbers it will be perfection. Always thought the black cat thing was a joke. If it's not it should be. We should have had a black puma logo since our first kit with them, shows how irrelevant the mackems are.
