Agree with everything you've said, but unfortunately the alternative, as presented, is a hell of a lot worse. If 'A22' (nowhere near as good as A24, but that's a different story) came up with a decent competition, I don't think any of us would particularly miss UEFAs competitions, but they've shot their load twice now with utterly embarrassing alternatives. Guess this is what you get when Perez is the guy in charge of things like.

The Super League proposal back in 2021 was the worst presented idea Ive seen in a long, long time. Like, it made no sense whatsoever why anyone but the initial lot would be remotely interested in joining. Now they've had two and a bit years to work on it and fine tune it, and what do they do? Come out with another proposal that is just as bad and almost as shoddily out together. I would say it probably wouldn't be too hard to turn football fans against UEFA and FIFA if you were just a bit clever. These cunts manage to make UEFA/FIFA look like the good guys, which is fucking impressive.

Aye, in their proposal two teams get relegated and promoted from each of the top two tiers every year. 20 out of 32 clubs from the bottom tier gets relegated each season. On top of it becoming pretty much a closed shop, it also killa off most interest in the domestic leagues, as out 4th place finish last season would have meant nowt. Sure, there would still be a fight for the title, but things like top 4/top6 and possibly rewards for cup competetions becomes meaningless. It's an absolute shit show, only there for the likes of Real Madrid and Barca to ensure they get their top dollars every season.

With this new proposed model, we would have (at best) played in the lowest European club competition this season, and wouldn't have been able to make it to the top league for another two seasons, at best. That would have only been possible if we made the final in each European competition both seasons. It's a closed shop at the top, they just try to hide it.
