Are you using that article to defend your point Parky?

    Obafemi Martins

    Oakie trolling ujpest
  3. Been watching the last 15-20 minutes, don't think I heard Kerzhakov's name once. Had to double check that he was actually playing
  4. If my bet on Malaga comes in, I'll put five or six folds on: Anderlecht, Schalke, Porto, Arsenal, PSG DNB, Dortmund DNB, Man City - Real BTTS.
  5. Can get 1.40 on Malaga in play despite them winning 2-0, looks canny value that.
  6. Benítez teams are all based on fitness, workrate and tactical discipline. Chelsea have bought Oscar, Hazard, Marin... they are moving away from that direction. Exactly, Chelsea's current squad doesn't seem to fit Benitez at all, which is why it would seem like such an utter waste of time to bring him in on a short term contract.

    Football pet hates

Nothing personal, but these posts always happen when Stoke/Bolton/Brum etc are put on TV. I mean, by all means criticize the teams for being shite, but you should be praising the schedulers. (1) Thank Christ games get shared around (reasonably fairly) here, so everyone gets a piece of the pie. I would hate it if it was Arsenal/Man U/Chelsea/Man City every fucking week, plus they got all the money. (2) Given (1), you know that you've got to have a certain amount of Pulis and Fat Sam games. Now nobody wants to watch them, but at least if you pit them against each other you minimize the amount of their games. There's less of those games where they get to drag more interesting teams down to their level, and there's always a chance of a fight. And you get to watch a team you hate lose, or a draw, where everybody else wins. I see your point, but there aren't two teams in the league I'd less want to see play each other, because you know how the game will be and it sure as fuck won't be pretty. Give me QPR - Southampton instead, a game that's actually interesting because of where both teams were in the table, both with managers who are far from safe and one of them being new to the league after years of being in the shit. Doesn't have to be one of the "top" teams every week, but anything other than fucking West Ham - Stoke.
  8. Aye, if I was Benitez I'd tell them to fuck off if they didn't give me a three year contract so I could have my huge pay off when I get the sack six months later
  9. I would probably hope that Chelsea wins the title if they get Pep

Welcome to the board hithere, hope you can remain sane and sensible. We've had far too many idiot mackems on here (and I mean proper fucking idiots), which explains why so many are cautious when we get a new one.
  11. you'd think winning the champions league might have gotten him a bit more time though That's what earned him a lucrative contract and probably a massive pay off today.
  12. Chelsea fan on TS this morning said just that. Changing managers regularly has worked for them, in terms of winning stuff fairly regularly since Abramovich took over. Saying he would rather change managers and win things, than stick with one man (used Wenger as an example) and win little/nothing. When put like that, you can almost see a point - however, that logic only works when you have a stupidly rich owner like they have. They would probably have done better if they'd have stuck with Ancelotti and given him the money they've spent on changing managers and players.
  13. Aye, it's not like there's any manager in the world who wouldn't want the likes of Hazard and Oscar in their squad.
  14. Whoever takes charge of them next will be their eighth manager since Mourinho left them just over five years ago EDIT: And in those five years, they've won three FA cups, one PL title and one CL title. Ridiculous
  15. No idea tbh. Who the hell else is there though?
  16. Despite winning the CL, they shouldn't have kept him on. Like I said yesterday, what the hell would be the point in Benitez on a short term contract? If they can't get Guardiola in (who would work wonders with the players they've got), they should have just kept Di Matteo and waited until Pep was ready.
  17. What the hell would be the point?
  18. Aye, in this case it probably wouldn't matter, but it's still daft. Like I said, I don't like the away goal rule at all, a goal is a goal no matter where it is scored IMO.
  19. It's head to head, not goal difference, Chelsea can't go past them. Shakhtar 2 - 1 Chelsea Chelsea 3 - 2 Shakhtar So I'm guessing if they do finish on 10 each the head to head goes off some sort of away goals thing, which would send Shakhtar through? And frankly, I find that ridiculous. I dislike the away goal rule in the later rounds but for it to matter this much in a group is just proper shite.
  20. It's head to head, not goal difference, Chelsea can't go past them.
  21. Not hyperbolic enough for my liking. The fuck was he supposed to do on either goals? Two deflections and a one on one plus forgetting he made some good saves during the game. He's not a top keeper, but he's far from a liability ffs.
  22. Doubt Shakhtar let Nordsjälland score that one.
