Can't do anything but laugh that David Edgar will be playing in a higher league than us
-
He's older and more experienced. Don't care that he didn't look impressing for Preston two years ago, he looked a rather handy player in the Premiership at the end of this season.
-
Massive blow for Man U that, would have been a perfect replacement for Tevez.
-
They're still being paid thousands in wages with millions in loyalty bonuses to come and should be made to turn up for it even if they just shine boots and make the tea Not as of today, they don't.

Good news for me -
Do you know if any of the out of contract players (Lövenkrads, Viduka, Owen) were there? Might be a daft question like
-
About fucking time. Let's just hope it's not Fat Fred...
-
Not defending by any means Shepherd buying players behind the manager's backs at the time, however he wouldn't dare do that to Shearer. Fair point, but what happens when he sacks Shearer? He'll probably see himself as the only Geordie icon left to manage the club and appoint himself
-
So, people are happy going from a chairman who had someone above his manager making the deals to a chairman who just ignored what his managers said and bought players who were nothing else than trophy signings? Fuck me, I can't believe that so many are happy to see the fat cunt back. Yes, he's better than Ashley, but to be fair, a three year old bairn would be better than Ashley at this stage, that doesn't mean we should be happy getting him in. People saying "better the devil you know", how is getting someone we know is shite better than getting someone who might be good?
-
Fuck! (just going off the thread title...)
-
I think so, yeah. I'm guessing it'll be Johnson Walcott and Milner upfront, with Cattermole, Noble and Muamba in midfield. Not that bad, loads of running and pace up front, just worried none of them is a particularly good finisher. Oh well, we'll still have Richards who'll score from a corner.
-
Is Walcott our only available "striker"?
-
The clue is in the thread title.

Think I head the Swedish commentators saying 5 degrees Celsius before the game started.
-
Without Howard it would probably be like that already! One more Brazil as I was stupid enough to bet on them at lousy odds Me too, which is the only reason I'm happy they won. Would have wanted USA to win, especially after a brilliant first half.
-
Yes, without a doubt. However, I wouldn't want us spending £20m on players like Barry with one year left on his contract. If we were to get some arab who were looking at mega spending, I'd want us to either mega spend on top players (a la £32m on Robinho) or buy good players at good prices (Given, for example).
-
Depressing, but he'll go to a better club than us. What's he got so far? Seven goals in four games? Even at this level, that's very impressive.
-
Nobody here cares. Eh? If our under 21s have got to the semi final and now the final, and our national team have actually started to win, how are we falling? Or do you just mean the country in general is shit? Exactly, we're undefeated and in the final in this tournament and got seven wins out of seven in the qualifiers. Don't get me wrong, I want Sweden to qualify, if nothing else for the buzz and the extra cash it will generate in my pockets, but how are Sweden doing in the qualifiers?
-
I thought you were Swedish Towelie? Danish? Aye, I'm half Swedish, half English. Lived in Sweden all my life, always supported England though. Can't stand the Swedish national team. Who cares man? Fact is, Swedes were acting like they'd won the Champions League and the World Cup, when in fact they were level in a semi final in a kids tournament
-
That was absolutely brilliant Was working, and we had a bunch of Swedish fans in for the game. Everyone had stopped giving a shit at 3-0, people went outside for a chat instead of watching the game. Then when they got one back, about half of them seemed to be interested again, and when it went 3-2 the place was packed again. At 3-3 everyone went absolutely mental, as if they'd won the bloody World Cup. You should have seen how fucking smug they were, going "it's not that much fun now, is it?!" even though I, or any other English fan in the pub, had barely said a word when we scored. Then in Extra Time they just got more and more smug for each and every minute ("Not looking good this, eh?! ") and when Milner slipped up I swear some of their lips touched their ears of because they had such a smug look on their face. Then when they missed their penalty and lost the game... :mackems: :mackems:
