About time we got some positive news.
-
When are the semi finals?
-
06-07 third for me
-
But they said they wouldn't do that!
-
Good news, I suppose, but we really should be further ahead with the sale than opening the books tomorrow. For starters, what's wrong with today?
-
I don't think the Swedish commentators knows who Xisco is, they haven't said his name once
-
The Italian Zlatan Ibrahimovic
-
Fucking hell those horns are annoying!
-
The German number 10 has looked a great talent so far in this game. Been a decent game this so far, typical U21. Both teams could do with a bit of end product.
-
Was that you, MrSundlofer?

Would the yanks understand that we're not in the highest division or that we are able to get back there? Seriously though, I would quite like us to have American owners. Without even knowing who they might be (if they even exist), I prefer them to Shepherd.
-
Despite Ashley and Llambias terrific efforts at making themselves look like complete idiots, they still get beaten by the entire media
-
I'd give him the benefit of doubt, but won't go further than that. I'd be worried all the time with him in charge like, considering what he's done before. He's the second worst alternative after Ashley, can't believe some actually wants him back.
-
It's nice being able to watch defending like that without shouting "FOR FUCKS SAKE LADS, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING YOU FUCKING USELESS WANKERS!!", isn't it?
-
Based on that logic, you'd welcome him back? Sorry, but I just can't get my head around that. We've got an opportunity here to start anew, one that we really need to take, yet people are happy with going back to a chairman who has proven himself to be shit? Hypothetical question: If Fat Fred came back and in a couple of years got us relegated to League 1, would people welcome Ashley back? Also, two years from now, had someone said (NE5, anyone?) that Ashley would get us relegated and look like a joke of a club and asked us if we'd want Fred back then, we all would have said no.
-
The point in bold. Do anyone really think he'll stop dipping his fingers into the till? People need to realise that we would have ended up in a simiar mess under Shepherd. Ashley might have completely f***ed up, but at least he's left us debt free. Don't want Shepherd within a million miles of the place. Yep, being debt free is great. We just so happened to be relegated of course, but never mind that. Facts are they're both s*** in their own way. We probably need someone who's not either of them. Don't get me wrong Dave, I'm not trying to support Ashley. I just think that either way, with either bloke, we would have ended up in a right fucking mess. To make positives out of Shepherd's reign, just because Ashley has done this is nonsense. Shepherd should not even be allowed to be linked to the club.

Can't argue with that. We all said when we got Capello that he's a winner and that's just what we need. I don't think our squad is good enough to win a major tournament, but at the same time we've got arguably the best manager of all the international teams which might just compensate for that. I also don't think we've seen anywhere near the best of Capello for England so far btw, I still feel like he's trying to find the right players for his team.

Fair enough, drop Walcott then and move either Cole or Young over to the right hand side, or even put Beckham in where you've now got Gerrard and play Gerrard as your RF, he's basically played second striker for Liverpool this year. He might be lacking in pace to play that role, but IMO, he's a good and smart enough player to be effective there as well. EDIT: I also think a few are being a bit harsh on Walcott like. The lad is still only 20 years old, most players have barely made their first competitive game at that age. Fair enough, he maybe shouldn't be a starter yet, but I can most definitely see a future for him in the England shirt.

Worst part about Bassong wanting to leave is that he's a decent player on low wages, I.E someone we shouldn't be looking to get rid off. It's the likes of Owen, Viduka, Coloccini, Martins and Duff that we need to get rid off to clear our wagebill, not the low earners like Bassong. Because of this reason, and of course the fact that he's young, we should be looking at a much higher fee than what we would have been looking at otherwise. He is one of the few players we can afford to keep, and I hope we use that as bargaining when someone comes in with an offer.

I'd like to see a formation similar to the one Chelsea has used recently Green (or whoever, not really fussed) Johnson Rio Terry A.Cole Carrick Gerrard Lampard Walcott J.Cole/A.Young Rooney Something like that. Carrick playing the Essien/Mikel role, Gerrard being Ballack, Lampard being Lampard. Think it could suit our team, the only problem I see is whether Rooney would handle the lone striker role, especially as he's more and more being used as a midfielder in Man U.

No, no, no, no. Remember why you were so happy that Fat Cunt Mike bought him out in the first place? Because he was a shite chairman who was running the club into the gutter. Just because he wasn't as good as Mike at doing this, doesn't mean we should want him back. Settling for bringing FFS back would be like being happy about Dyer coming back as he's better than R.Taylor.

Can someone please tell me the score in the Belarus - Moldova game?
