The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

Anyway, Nina, fancy telling us a bit about Vuckic? I was expecting to see "yourself" at the end of that and not "Vuckic" -
Are you including own goals? I think he's confusing red cards with goals, tbh.

I agree. With him playing we're dead certs for relegation Nice twist. However, I believe he is the sort of player we need on the pitch just to show a bit of fight and passion. Especially if we were to be drawn into a major relegation fight. I would have him in before Butt and Geremi I know that. Do you remember how appalling he was last season mate? He didn't even show any fight or passion, most of the time he just stood around in the centre circle, and when the ball came close he lunged into a reckless challenge.

Not black enough -
Well fuck off then, you won't be missed.

Good, another body. Not ideal, but we need players, and his contract sounds like win-win for us
-
Bartons attitude on the pitch is spot on, IMO. He was really taking on the role as a leader earlier on in the season (can't remember the games). Haven't see the bust up with Enrique mind, but I'd say that Barton arguably has the best attitude of all our players. And he is (was) a much better player than Bullard, I just hope he can stay injury free now til end of the season, and that he'll go on a good patch of form as he did last year.
-
What about City and Given then?
-
Gutted for the lad
-
There's a Luka Modric difference imo, and that's it. Their squad is much deeper, and has alot more talent. I would kill for Thudd/JJ/Zokora/Palacios/Modric. The only area of the pitch we are better is goalkeeper, and tbh Gomes has been coming along nicely. You would kill for Huddlestone, JJ and Zokora? Average at best, the three of them. Palacios and Modric I'll give you, but we're stronger in other departments (strikeforce, GK and arguably fullbacks).
-
Honestly don't think Palacios is a lot better then what is currently at Tottenham in his position and at £14 million would it not of been more wise to spend it on a proper Left Winger or a Left Back that can actually defend? Crazy talk! Spurs only buy players in positions they don't really need to strengthen!
-
Let's just hope he's not bullshitting us on this, we desperately need him back. Would be terrific if we could give him 15 minutes or something like that against City, and then most of the mackem game.
-
Saved yoursleves 2 million then. Depends whether winning the Championship counts or not.
-
Why are they taking the piss with these offers? Fuck sake, if they want him, they better be prepared to pay for him, like they seem to be with every other player. We got £12m for Milner in the summer, they should have to top that by a few millions for us to even consider it.
-
Fucking terrible news. Hope this forces us to up our bid for M'Bia. Thank fuck Barton is fit
-
Keith will be there with that fucking banner. Thought it was behind closed doors?
-
Pogwhatevernyak would be a great signing for you brummie, would say that he's a better version of Carew. Should suit the Premier League as well, though you never know. Would have been first choice for Russia in the Euros had he not been injured. How long is Carew out?
-
Still reckon he was spot on though.
-
Very high tempo though, reckon it's a good watch. Torres run on the wing was magnificent.
-
They'd probably play Kompany at CB. Talk of them offloading Dunne. Kompany would be fine at CB. Would anyone take Dunne? Yeah, as we're giving away penalties left, right and center, dropping points by conceding late, have a shit talking manager and getting plenty of red cards, some own goals seems to be all that's missing
-
Yeah right! Despite Martins apparently being this thick and unintelligent player some claim, he brings a hell of a lot more to the table and impacts our attakcing play tremendously. He also happens to be playing in the very same team does he not? Watch our results drastically improve when he returns. Have you noticed they really began to fall out once he went down with his injury? He is our biggest asset right now pal. When Owen was out earlier int he season and everyone thought we'd be doomed with Martins and Shola we were actually playing much better football than we are right now, and we weren't struggling to score goals or get some decent rsults. A quick look at our results with and without Martins: With: 18 points in 12 games, 1.5 points/game. Without: 5 points in 10 games, 0.5 points/game. I know statistics like these don't prove much, if anything at all, but that is quite a big difference.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that statement. If they ignore the players/positions that he wants and bring in their own then he might not be particularly chuffed. Sounds familiar. So you're believing what he's saying now? For fuck's sake, do I really have to put 'that's if he's not lying' on every post? I haven't got a clue why he'd lie to make himself and the club look worse. Just feels like you're only posting as if you're believing him when he's saying something negative though.
-
Let's hope this scoring against your former club can work in our favour this time and Barton gets on the scoresheet

So you're believing what he's saying now? Speaking shit is one thing, but speaking it about about his employers and the one's giving him this contract is another. Surely you see that? I see the difference, not sure Kinnear does though.
