Premiership: Cech Jaaskalainen Friedel Given Foster World: Buffon Cech Casillas Canizares Akinfeev

Gallas - When fit, he is awesome, a great defender & a great athlete, and versatile, can fill any defensive role Toure - Has everything, pace, strength, good on the ball, gets forward well, scores goals. Ferdinand - Comes across as a complete prick, but he is a hugely talented footballer. Terry - Solid, brave, the classic English lion heart. Carvalho - Deceptively quick, good all round defender, also the master of the sly unpunished foul, always pushing, pulling, shirt tugging etc, but he is a great defender.

Seriously, yes, as a striker, first and foremost, he is there to score goals, which he has done wherever he has played, and has already scored several times for Fulham. Montella over Saha seriouslyor Berb/Bellamy/Bent ?
-
Of current strikers playing in the Premiership, In no particular order: Henry McCarthy Drogba Shevchenko Rooney Martins Owen Anelka Van Persie Montella Honourable mentions for: (the next ten) Tevez, Ashton, Doyle, Berbatov, Carew, Johnson, Bellamy, Larsson, Lita, Mcbride.

lol, Stevie G loves a hollywood ball too, Lampard tires them often, but like his 679 shots per game, they are usually way off target!
-
In fairness, Riquelme could/would rip the shit out of most teams/players. I happen to think Carrick is shit.
-
I'll don my tin hat, the obvious players ommited from the starting XI would fill out the squad, but my side would be: Buffon Ramos Cannavaro Gallas Lahm Essien Fabregas Kaka Messi Villa Vicente

Who the f*** is King? Ledley? In midfield ffs. YES, Ledley King, the time he played there for England as the holding midfielder player he was very impressive, turned in a man of the match display, so as id play with two holding midfield players, and think Carrick is shite, then YES i would play Ledley King alongside Hargreaves, allowing good cover for the defence whilst the 3 attacking midfield players support the lone striker.

Are you being serious? Name any player who can do it better. Not wide right or wide left, but through the middle. for a start, Kaka, Anderson(Porto), Riquelme, Aimar, Scholes, Iniesta, Ronaldinho(Can & has played centrally), Totti, Nedved(plays centrally for Czech Republic),
-
Dyer is the best player in the world at rapidly linking up the midfield with the attack. Are you being serious?
-
Would need to change the shape of the team to 4-2-3-1, and mine would be: James Richards Terry Woodgate Cole Hargreaves King Gerrard Scholes Cole Rooney

Great shout! England are completely over hyped, and the so called world class players like Lampard & Gerrard are shown to be far short of that level when playing against genuine world class players like Xavi Its quite funny, in that, its the media, papers that build England up to be a world class team, then a ssoon as they are found out for what they are, the media are the first ones to slaughter them!

Yellow football boots - awful He's got great feet - obviously - he's a pro footballer! Mike Parry(Talksport) & his Wayne Rooney love affair Frank Lampard Jonathan Pearce and his love affair with Arsenal David Pleat changing a players name every time he mentions it Fulhams ground - looks like its made of Lego All things Tottenham Music after goals The constant media hype that surrounds the completely over rated England team - England are NOT world class JOhn Motson's voice - ohhhhhhhhhhh what do you make of that Mark The sign on the ground as the players come out at West Ham, that says something stupid like 'welcome to the academy of football' - f**k off your s**t! Graham Poll thinking he's the main attraction
-
Agreed, Fabregas for me, he can be a cocky little fucker, but he's so talented. If I was to choose other, It would be David Villa, would score goals wherever he played. (and he's one of my favourite players!)
-
Agree completely. Just another money making exercise

The unsung heroes of the Premiership (my top 10) - how about yours?
vicente_14 replied to a topic in Football
Unsung Players: Abdoulaye Faye (Bolton) The guy is a monster, hardly ever see anyone get the better of him. Brian McBride (Fulham) Always a threat, always gives the side 110%, and scores a fair few goals. Linvoy Primus (Portsmouth) Solid alongside Campbell, Redknapp really gets the very best out of him. Mathieu Flamini (Arsenal) Fits into the side in all kinds of positions, and always plays well. I really rate Arteta & Gamst-Pedersen, but to me they are not unsung, whenever their teams are mentioned, they are the players immediately talked about, so for me they are not unsung heroes. -
Agree, and it looks as if he's leaving Pompey on loan today
-
Luque, one of the top 6 players in Spain?!
-
Carroll Carr .. Spector .. Diawara .. Jordan Stewart Tommy Smith .. Faye .. Gavin Mahon .. Etherington Harewood .. Henderson
-
Absofuckinlutely agree! He is shocking, and so over rated, no tricks, no pace, no end product, just utter rubbish!
-
He's 6ft 4" and built like a heavyweight boxer

Jose heard the original and got the fella to perform in front of all the players a while back.

Source: skysports.com/football West Ham are in talks with Arsenal's Lauren, skysports.com can confirm. The Cameroon defender has been told by Arsene Wenger that he can leave Emirates Stadium. Lauren is out of contract in the summer and is unlikely to be offered fresh terms with Emmanuel Eboue now firmly established as first choice right-back under Wenger. Lauren has long been linked with a move back to Spain where he first forged his European career - before joining Arsenal in 2000 Hammers boss Alan Curbishley wants to overhaul his squad and only has a short space of time to do so - and an experienced Premiership campaigner like Lauren could prove a valuable acquisition. Lauren is yet to play a game this season after only just returning to training last month after nearly a year on the sidelines with a knee injury Would be a good addition to our squad.

Anton Ferdinand is pap, and whatever happened to the already signed and sealed 6ft 4" Premiership defender that Anal Oliver exclusively revealed we had signed a few weeks back?
