Did Clark and Coleman not have a massive falling out, when he left Fulham. Then when we played them, they clashed in the tunnel?

John Terry is now the highest paid player in England

Essien and Carvalho cant be too pleased, Carvalho is as good if not better than Terry, and Essien is an incredible player. I read somewhere that Joe Cole has recently signed a new deal on 90k per week! What a wage bill! -
It is a position in which Beye is also accomplished and one in which Carr (pictured right) specialises He really doesn't!
-
His name isn't Harry Kewell. We really don't need Zenden, he's awful! Surprises me how he has had such a good career, I have never understood what people see in him.

I've read a few times that if players shot from long range and missed then they got fined. Its a theory based on Big Sam's Pro Zone stats that prove that a tiny percentage of his sides goals were scored from distance, and that some huge percentage of goals are scored from working the ball into the channels, and delivering a quality ball into the box. I remeber when Bolton were on Channel 5 a while back, someone shot from distance, the camera panned to Big Sam, who was going spazzy on the sideline.

West Ham are set to lose striker Bobby Zamora to Atletico Madrid Surely not.

He is a very promising coach, tactically very similar to Benetiz, with a bit of the Jose Mourinho swagger about him. Valencia's season has been ruined by a crippling injury list, so for him to leave is ridiculous. There are also plenty of games tom play in La Liga, so Valencia may finish higher than 4th. Also, Bernd Schuster has long been rumoured to be taking the Real Madrid job.

Also delivers a decent ball from free kicks & corners, would be an asset in a Big Sam team.

John Williams, Postman turned Coventry striker!

Erland Johnson

As my username might suggest, Valencia. Went to the Estadio Mestalla when i was younger, the atmosphere and passion was incredible, just like at St James' Park. Have followed them since, go to a few games each season. And some of my favourite players play for them, Villa, Vicente, Joaquin, Albelda. Dont have much interest in any other teams around Europe.

I don't want Roeder, never really have tbh. But the thing that worries me, is the thought that the fat one will do something even more stupid. Like appoint Steve Bruce.
-
Agreed. Looks very good at full back, thought Mikel was impressive in front of the back four as well.
-
"To be fair to Roeder, there wasn't much wrong with his tactics or team selection and you can hardly blame him when a man for whom he paid £10m managed to miss the goal from four or five yards. But for me, what yesterday proved is that United have five or six players - bought by his predecessors - who are simply not good enough and both Roeder and Freddy Shepherd will realise this" YAWN! Roeder's transfer's/loan's are no better Mr Oliver, so why don't you take your tongue out of Roeder's Arse. Martins aside, Roeder has brought us Bernard, Sibierski, Duff & Rossi.

Having been linked strongly with Real Madrid, and Capello being very keen on the defensive side of the game, Gooch must have something about him. He clearly has all of the raw ingredients to be a good player, and I don't think he can be judged on a handful of appearences for two main reasons. Firstly, The fact he was not eligible to play in the Uefa Cup has disrupted his rythym. He plays a game, then misses a a game, plays a game, then misses a game, so has not yet had the chance to play consecutive games. Secondly, you can't expect a player to arrive from the Belgium league and step straight up to Premiership level. He needs a period of time to adapt,a nd then be judged. But as I said, he must have some quality, having been linked with Real Madrid, Chelsea & Marseille.
-
Agreed. I think he is too slow too be of any real use to us in the Premiership. In Europe, the slower pace of the games just about allowed him to be of some use. In the 100mph Premiership, the game just passes him by. Not entirely his fault, he trys, so credit to him for that. The manager should be able to see the problem, and address the situation, and bring Sib on towards the end of games if we are chasing he game and need to go more direct.

Surprised he lasted this long tbh, thought his loose lips would have got him the sack before now.

Agreed, Ben Thatcher's assault on Pedro Mendes was far worse and he got a lot less, and also had previous form. lol, from your username i guess you've not got all that independant an opinion tho! True! lol

We were linked, but didn't Glenn deny the story? He's pap anyway. But that video of him running away is brilliant.

A very under-rated player. Doesn't get the praise he deserves. Agreed. And thought he was very good tonight. He was involved in just about all of Madrid's best moments, plays much better when he plays a more advanced role, seemed to struggle a bit last year playing as the holding player.
