  1. I was sat at one point during the second half and was closely watching Bruno and by way of this, Will Hughes. The gulf in quality and class between them was wild. Hughes couldn't get near him and at times looked like they were playing different sports. Which then put into focus, not so long ago, pre-takeover, Will Hughes would have been an upgrade on our midfield options!
  2. Exactly this. Release clause has to be paid in one go. Chelsea wanted to pay over many years so had to negotiate a higher fee.
  3. One of the AU Vodka owners I think.
  4. He’s hardly trained, and just played lots of minutes within days against Man City, PSG & West Ham. Also coming to the tempo and aggression of the Premier League from the slow and patient Italian game. Needs 6-12 months to get used to the league and settle into a new life culture too, still a young lad and still trying to pick up the language too. Just needs some time and some patience (see Gordon, Miggy, Joelinton etc)
  5. This so much. Was laughing away in the ground last week at people moaning about this one or that one, the up and down nature of people is funny. And the more general thing of player x is sh*te, aye, 18 months ago, we were watching Hayden eating grass every match, Jonjo passing Hollywood balls into the crowd and Colback running aimlessly in a huge circle> Easier said than done, but some need to chill and enjoy the ride more.
  6. Unfollowed NUFC360 a long long time ago. Used to be a decent account which pulled all the news sources together. Then they seemed to get a little closer with the True Faith bunch and started losing sight of what gained them their audience and started pushing their opinions so the stuff today hardly seems surprising.
  7. Copy and paste into the Miggy thread!

Really promising player and comes across well. But my word, that interviewer is painful.

Bargains at the time but an absolute hindrance when we can't shift the rubbish further down the line and they are stinking up the place. Just those two names alone show how far we have come in such a short space of time. Night and day.

Never get the Manquillo abuse. Sure, he's not prime Cafu, but he's been dependable and a decent squad option, filling in at left and right fullback. Steady if unspectacular. We are heading to levels that are possibly beyond him but he's done ok and never complained or been a bad apple.

Looked their best player by some distance at the Etihad, was impressive, although the effort of most of the Chelsea side that day was questionable.

They originally planned to tie him down to a 6 year contract and loan him to Palace. Seems the contract was withdrawn as they realised they needed to bring funds in for FFP reasons. And from reading some reports, the player wanted us once we became an option rather than a loan to Palace. (sensible lad!)
  13. Absolutely love it, embracing everything, seems the best way to settle into new surroundings quickly. Trippier said in that video that it was important for Tonali's lass to settle quickly and it will be a big help to Tonali, and she seems to be making every effort, both of them seem good humans, lovely to see.
  14. Hall has looked very impressive in his limited appearances and even more impressive given he's not a natural left back and grew up playing as a midfielder. Seems to have so much potential and upside to him, Eddie would work wonders with him. Juan Miranda has a lot of quality and potential too, been highly rated for some time and looks ready too make the next step up in his career.
  15. The slick, two touch way he plays and passes, such beauty in that. Works so well the way we play too, keeps the play flowing and the tempo high. Perfect for our team and system.
  16. Keep would have been on crazy wages, one of crazy Todds big ideas is to get the majority of the squad on lesser wages (as many under 100k as possible) but over what seems like 50 year deals. His grand plan was to buy younger talents on larger fees but pay smaller wages, so Mudryk cost plenty but his wage is supposedly modest in comparison and under 100k. Also, Sanchez isn't very good and not an elite keeper or at the level Chelsea want to be at. Very odd.
  17. Liverpool and Spurs are both rancid clubs, always got an issue with something, dreadful stuff.
  18. I think we will try to get a pacey and strong left back in, and move Targett out late in the window. Theo is the dream but unless we can be creative as Eddie suggests we need to be, loan with obligation next year, that remains a dream. Targett left Villa for us because he wanted to play, so not the craziest idea to imagine he will want to be playing more reguarly.
  19. Not putting a ceiling on what we can achieve. Love Eddie.
  20. Moyes will be gone before Christmas, that cup win is really covering over the cracks.
  21. Horncastle on the Totally Football podcast seemed pretty downbeat on this signing, didn't think he would be a big hit and that most Italians like the idea of the Premier League until they get here, and then seek a loan back to Italy, and that's how he see's this going. Or something along those lines, wasn't overly concentrating on it. Seemed quite bitter, Horncastle is usually better than that.
  22. And we would do well to appreciate and accept that is fair market value!
  23. Don't think its been posted, the new Levante shirt is pretty decent.
