I also had a dream about it. The only thing I can remember is Obertan suffering a really bad injury, blood everywhere. I had to call an ambulance for some reason, I think I was playing as well. -

I remember Le Fondre scoring penalties for Rotherham on The Football League Show every week when we were in the Championship, he was also mint on FM a few years back. Big step up for him. -
One good thing is the impression of stability it gives to the players. That impression could probably help players staying and signing for us in due course. A club that alledgedly puts this much faith in the managerial set up communicates a clear vision and the sort of stability that I really think speaks volumes in terms of selling the club to players. The backside is that we'll be hopeless if Pardew's fortunes turn sour. Imagine if we sit in the bottom half and are out of all cups come April next year. He is under some pressure to perform in order for his situation here to not turn ugly. Llambias specifically says a bad run of results won't change Pardew's position, which is worrying. Results are what matters in the end. We don't want to become Liverpool and count success in off-field progress and the passing percentage of one player (Perch instead of Allen).

When was the last time we had so many academy products with an honest chance of making it? Sammy, Ferguson, Tavernier, Streete and Campbell all seem as if they are in with good chances. Not counting Vuckic as he's not really a product of our academy. I know Tavernier came from Leeds but he's been here an awful long time.

We have to win here, would be good not to get back to the old habit of never winning away from home that went on for years. Float everything towards the far post, it's bound to work eventually. -
I wonder when they'll start talking about progress off the field this year btw.

Just seen this. What the actual f*** is he doing? He's been comedy gold since his appointment. All the way. From the handling of Carroll to this. Never saw this coming.

If only we'd known what would come..

They are pretty different players. Cissé is a poacher, plays on the shoulder and finds space in and around the box. He also comes wide to help out a little bit. Ba on the other hand is sort of a complete forward. Strong, comes deep to help out but also dynamic in making forward runs. He really should be a good fold for Cissé. They need to start understand eachothers game for it to work better though.

Marveaux looks very tidy and composed on the ball. He had no movement in front of him with Shola a static front man and Vuckic in hiding. Obertan does move around, but can't make decisions or deliver decent crosses. Ferguson is more potent in terms of crossing, Marveaux likes to play it on the deck, not the type of winger who beats his man and crosses. Marveaux will be a lot more useful with the likes of Ben Arfa and Ba ahead of him. Obertan will still be useless as his decisions always lets him down. -
I think he might be off in January.

Best team we will have put out this season with players coming back to full fitness and into some form. 2-0 win, Cissé and Ben Arfa. -
Your brain shuts down at times, doesn't it? And he has done what really good when he has been playing? It's irrelevant. He hasn't let anyone down. He's coming back from several seasons out with injuries. His technique is good, he needs to figure out how to use it and the tempo in England. He's far more capable and potent than many other players. Your reaction is over the top and brings his performance into a dramatic context, as it always does. Don´t think so. And beside I haven´t said anything about the future. Just that he´s a long way from being good enough to play in the PL. Just sick of people overrating so many players. You didn't say that You said he let himself and all supporters down. Completley different things.

They were more threatening going forward but nothing between us on the balance of play. Good performance and some of the players can be proud of themselves. Deserved a draw at least. Papiss confidence should be back, Ferguson did well and Tav looked brilliant, Bigi is twice the force Gosling is and Elliot looks far more capable than I imagined. Onto Reading with Colo and Tioté a bit more match fit. -
Mini breakthrough. Delighted for him tonight.

Had a fair few chances now. Never writing him off just yet, but needs to play somewhere where he understands what he can provide on a pitch. Just vanishes every time he plays for us
