Frustrating more than anything if we don't make the most of this. Looks like we have the chance of bringing in Maiga and Cissokho, which would make our squad far more competitive and strong than it is now. Unwillingness to pay out around £15m for the pair could potentially lead to us trying to sign Wayne Bridge and some average Premiership experienced striker or a fucking loan move for Macheda. This despite bringing in £45m from transfer fees and even more from wages off the book, this year. Unbelievable.

Looking forward to this immensly, superb way to start the campaign. A win would give me so much hope for this season.

Maynard would be a good addition regardless of bringing someone else in. If he's out of contract he shouldn't be too expensive, really no reason not to. Just get him.

Steven Taylor got 3 bonus points, Rooney aswell. Took me to 65 in total, pretty decent first round.

I'd like Maynard, looked class whenever I've seen him.

Silva is amazing, probably my favourite non-nufc player. Such class and finess about his game. Vorm impressive and Swansea playing some decent possession football here, could work well for them if they score goals against lesser teams.
