I'd go: Krul Santon Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Haïdara Tioté Anita Obertan Sissoko Marveaux Cissé

Coming deep to pick up the ball, moving around and making us tick with his passing. Him and Marveaux saw us play with completely different dynamics for a while, and you could see how Anita was coming into his own. He's a brilliant link between defence and midfield and has pace and energy about his game that we need alongside Cabaye. The problem is, as we've learnt, that Pardew likes a tackle on the pitch. In certain games I'd have Tioté over him, but we could make really good use of Anita more often in the coming games looking at our fixtures.

Really like Anita, keeps us moving so well. Think him and Cabaye on the field when we play "lesser" sides is a given. Tioté when we have to break up play more. The most modern midfielder we have.

This. Fluidity, interchangeable and flexible. Keep Cissé central. Let Hatem do whatever he pleases and have Gouffran moving.

From .com Sammy Ameobi is doubtful after sustaining a hamstring injury during training on Monday, but fellow reserve forward Adam Campbell is available and wasn't included among the squad currently playing a tournament out in Italy, suggesting he'll be involved on Thursday. I'd love to finally see him get some game time.
