Am I allowed to post this? This is a winnable competition.

Just realised Hiddink is their manager. Tough test this, we have every chance of going through though. QF would be very, very exciting.

Krul Debuchy Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Santon Anita Cabaye Gutierrez Sissoko Gouffran Cissé Pretty sure Ben Arfa won't be involved. I'd play Anita over Tioté as I expect us to dominate possession. Santon is still a better attacking outlet than Haïdara, even though the latter certainly made a case for himself last night. Afraid Shola might play. -
Yanga-Mbiwa excites me so much. He seems to have all the attributes of a stopper and a sweeper. Pace, strength, agility, reading of the game, confident on the ball and great determination in his tackle. There were situations last night when him and Coloccini helped eachother out through proactive actions, falling in behind eachother and cutting out passes and crosses. And it was their first game together. I also like that Mapou makes us a lot less vulnerable when defending with a high line. To have Steven Taylor on form AND this lad besides Coloccini. Best CB set up I've seen at the club.

Says Shola will "get games" between now and the end of the season is his post-match interview, but also a hint of disappointment with his performances lately. I think he sounded "serious", if that's the way to put it. Admitted Papiss is playing out of position, which I regard as something good. Don't want him as an option out there. He contributes fuck all. Pardew on a whole could be a decent cup manager if he decides to add "counter-attacking when in front" to his gameplan. Last night I was desperate for us to get someone like Obertan on to threaten them. Instead, he formed a third defensive block consisting of Shola, Moussa and Marveaux. Retarded as we couldn't get out of our own half.

Come on Hannover, would love to play them over fucking Anzhi.
-
Looked calm and experienced tonight. Dealt brilliantly with them. Refree was making it really hard for him but he kept his composure despite the dramatics of that prick Cristaldo.
-
Fuck that would be a massive blow.
-
He doesn't understand the dynamics of 4-2-3-1 which concerns me. Hopefully playing Ben Arfa and Gouffran on the wings will solve this issue, but the fact he deploys an attacking formation where ONE player contributes with anything resembling movement is really frightening. His decision to leave Shola on and not bring on Obertan says it all. No intention of hitting them on the break. Good defensive organisation tonight though.
-
Rock. No doubt beforehand but really nice to see. Hard as balls as well.
-
World class tonight. Looked so assured and made some stunning saves.
-
Again: such a winner. Full of determination more than anything. Decisive today when he chased that down.

19 years old, making his debut and performing like that. Looking very good indeed. Superb display.

Ref is doing his best to sabotage this. Whistle for everything. That's an embarrassment that booking. -

Anita then. Good enough. Hope it's nothing serious with Cheick. -
Superb call. Great FM signing on so many games.

Swedish club. Same thing. There are more pigs than people in Denmark. We're not the same thing.

Found an interview with him from last week. Says he's been training with us several times but also been to Man City. Came over to play with our U16s, then our U18s and a game with the reserves. On the subject of joining us on a youth contract: - Was open to it after being very highly thought of by our coaches. They invited him for a third time two years ago (when he was 14), but the club informed him that we are no longer going to sign players under the age of 16. Only going for locals if they're not over 16. He now has a contract with Djurgården for 2 years.

Joe Lewis as well I think. Not that it matters. Whatever happend to the debate regarding their use of "yid"? I have quite a few friends of jewish descent and some jewish heritage myself. I know a lot of jewish people who aren't fond of the term and fully agreed with those who weren't very amused by Spurs fans "reclaiming it". This is a good piece explaining the complexity of the problem. http://www.economist.com/blogs/gametheory/2012/11/football-and-racist-language

Aye. That prejudice stretches back quite far. It's such a confused ideological environment it's laughable. All Jews are supposedly communists because of Marx and what happend in the build up to WW2. They also control the world and killed Jesus. Don't know if this was reported in England. However, UEFA didn't make any effort to condemn it. http://www.haaretz.com/jewish-world/jewish-world-news/watch-hungarian-soccer-fans-disrupt-israeli-anthem-with-anti-semitic-slurs-1.459251 As if Mussolini worshipping facists actually give half a f*** about the plight of Palestinians. It's like when you get pro-Israel conservative politicians who suddenly are all about gay and women's rights when it's a useful stick to beat all Muslims with. It's on par with the chanting of the name of an concentration camp along with Palestine.

Frightening how apparent and real the presence of right-wing extremism in football has become again. This anti-semitic violence is another dimension of racism that hasn't been rooted in European football historically. A direct result of the ignorance towards this issue shown by UEFA, these groups will continue to increase their use of football as a platform for violence and discrimination of minorities. Fucking sickening what's happend to Spurs fans this season. It's been an ongoing issue in Holland with Ajax for quite a while as well. UEFA not acting with more emphasis on these things is sad more than anything.
