  1. I don't think either one is captain material, simply because they don't communicate enough in my eyes. Then again it's hard to say who DOES communicate enough within our squad.
  2. He would. Quality player. You can lose your pace but you don't lose your intelligence/skill and whatnot. Think you could relate that comment to Alan Shearer, never blisteringly pacey, but hell he was one of the most intelligent players i've ever seen...
  3. Apparently he's to replace the "out of favour" David Albelda...I'd take Albelda tbh.
  4. Thats not actually why we're called "united", mind. If they did their turn inspiring US, they might find it reciprocated. Very hard to chant for the likes of Viduka and Smith when they aren't actually any good, isn't it. Point taken matey, i understand and also kind of agree where you are coming from. However I still think that we as fans aren't doing our part fully, tbh.
  5. Won't be easy, but we're Newcastle UNITED. Why not just put all vendettas against the manager aside, whatever anybody thinks, its hardly 'United' if we're not cheering the lads and singing their names to inspire them...
  6. Agree 100% with this post. Good post DT lad!
  7. I'm fairly sure that if we keep the same mentality as that of current, we can win any game
  8. ...and they say that word is overused.... Sorry, let me rephrase. On his day, he has the potential to be a great player
  9. Yeah it'll leave a big void in the team tbh. Especially given (as previously stated) that Viduka and Smith aren't scoring anywhere near enough goals. In fact Smith hasn't got a league goal yet, has he? Hasnt in something like 2 or 3 years Oops, i'd forgotten that

  11. I agree with him completely, but as said by Dave, its not the style to worry about, its the performances. And in all honesty I think he's the right man for the job.
  12. Think it'd be a mistake letting Emre go tbh, he's a great player
  13. Had me in tears too Can't explain how much he'll be missed and how much he IS missed
  14. 1. Zidane - Incredible 2. Ronaldo - His achievements are incredible, despited his setbacks 3. Alan Shearer - obvious ain't it?

    Alan Smith

I've been really impressed with him since he's joined. When he left Leeds i was saying to all my mates that we should sign him because i thought he was great. When we snapped him up in Summer i had mixed emotions but i am so glad we did now
  16. But hell it was the turning point IMO
  17. Well the ball wasnt in his control anymore when he was tripped so it wasnt that clear tbh. These days "out of his control" and "off the ball foul" are so hard to distinguish
