Why would they wait all this time and then sack him before Rafa's signed? It's stupid, but it's not unexpected or any reason to panic.
-
If they've waited this long they'll wait until Rafa signs the deal to sack him, and people have already reported that the deal was being agreed using intermediaries. Chill.
-
Aye, fucking knacka It's well known on any forum that this shit, at times like this, is the lowest form of humour. I want you to get him ffs. I bet on McClaren to be the next manager to go. So?
-
It's going to be excruciating watching the last ten games knowing that if we stay up we get Rafa and if we go down we revert back to type.
-
Not happening though!
-
Yeah, but it's definitely, definitely not happening though, is it?
-
This I agree with. Or, stay up, not make the concessions we promised to him and then appoint Sherwood.

Like, if this is true, I'm starting to wonder what the fuck is wrong with Rafa. We're garbage island if it were on fire. Throughout this whole process there's been a lot of people immediately shooting it down, which is understandable, but you're not thinking about it clearly. He wants to get back into work and he wants to do it on the UK, list the premier league teams to yourself and decide whether he's got a chance of getting any of the top jobs, he hasn't. There's also the fact that he's based in the north of england and happy there. That Chronicle article listed all the reasons he'd want to come here and they all make sense. How long have we been saying that we're a club with massive potential if the right man can unlock it? We can't just change our minds because a good manager agrees. Finally, you immediate cyncis aren't playing the long game, you're too caught up in the idea that things never really work out for us that you've forgotten that positive things do happen to us sometimes, before the wheels come off in spectacular fashion. For example, another football club paid us for Alan Pardew, then we installed John Carver as manager.
-
I can believe he'll take the job, because ridiculous stuff happens to us. It's specifically how it's going to go wrong that I'm wondering about.

Newcastle is Newcastling the fuck out of this decision. Sake man. Still there's no way in earth we can compete with Leicester right so we might as well take our sweet time in the knowledge we could never get anything from that game. [emoji38]It's the same move every year. Don't do anything and hope the fans calm down. I mean looking back from this perspective at this point in time I can understand that mindset to a degree. However the fans calming down isn't going to help the useless cunts out of this mess ffs. Fans never barely made a rumble tbh. They're fucked in the head, so frustrating. [emoji38]They just assume we'll stay up every year. They gamble every fucking season. I said the other week I can't comprehend that someone's job could be to run a football club day in day out for as long as Charnley has and have so little clue about the game. Crazy as fuck. I can. To know something really well you need to engage with it for years on a fundamental level. Any one of us could do his job better than him, except Slim.

2016, ladies and gentleman.

Christ The mackems are somehow going to make this even worse for themselves by supporting him, aren't they?
-
Having someone in charge that will concede absolutely everything to them is their modus operandi, though. If they change managers they have to go through the whole process of 'vetting' people again, which involves finding out who's got self respect and who hasn't. It's not like a club with ambition where you just offer the best candidate the job and shake hands.
-
We didn't choose it TBF But I'm wilfully giving this my fucking attention, they don't deserve it!
-
They need plenty of time to confirm what the head coach may and may not do: You may: train and pick the team at the weekend You may not: do anything else
-
I'm repeating myself here, but, imagine supporting a club which is 19th in the premier league and has the opportunity to appoint Benitez and doesn't change it's pig headed philosophy to make it happen. That could well be us. We're all absolute fucking mugs.
-
Actually have they just taken the Sun saying Moyes would be happy to join and the Guardian saying he's expected to be sacked in 48 hours and come up with "he's accepted and to be named" ?! Literally 2+2=5.
-
the logistics of it alone Thousands of mackems on street corners armed with buckets, all singing 'piss and karma's gonna get you' to the tune of the Lennon classic.
-
Hopefully this momentum continues and we get good news tomorrow.

The image of someone getting a bucket of piss thrown over them every time they turn a corner

This is ruining my concentration today. Fuck you, NUFC, fuck you.
