  1. SSN just said we flew to France today for talks with Cabaye's representatives why are we flying to them when they should be flying to us That should be obvious.
  2. I think Allardyce will smell blood. They're on a high after a good start at home and some additions to the team, and they beat us in this fixture last season. Our confidence is shot to shit. We'll lose unless someone produces some 'magic'.
  3. What's wrong with Gouffran? i thought he played all right until we took him off. At least he can link play. has good movement and not be pushed off the ball with the slightest bit of contact I've yet to see him actually do anything out on the wing, he needs to be played up front or not at all, quite frankly I'd almost prefer if we said screw you to most of these players and just went with some of the younger players and see if they're good enough or not. Give Bigi, Vuckic Dummett Sammy or anyone who shows something resembling talent, they'll at least try You're doing this in every thread now, so I've got to ask. Who isn't trying? With the exception of Debuchy who's conduct has been very erratic since he came I'm struggling to think of anyone I can criticise for not putting the effort in.
  4. understandable we'd want Cabaye out of England and just want to charge Arsenal more for miserly bid in the first place I doubt it matters to us where he goes, we're not in direct competition with any of the teams in our own league, for a start. We just can't compete.
  5. After last night's game I've gone from a 5 to a 6. We're a team with no confidence, very little desire, no attacking game plan whatsoever and with little belief in the manager imo. Hopefully Remy will help a bit when he gets fit, I do think he's very good so his little burst of enthusiasm should help in the short term. Basically relying on 3 teams being shitter than us, for a whole season.
  6. Why would a different manager affect the outcome so much, when the players are to blame for our bad team performances? Who sets up the game plan and advises the players on how they should play? You've completely misjudged my post.

  8. Think he'll just be towing the party line as per usual tbh.

I just think the evidence is starting to mount up.

Aye, we didn't threaten but I thought the performance started to improve and we were learning to live with the pace. Never expected anything other than a heavy defeat, I wouldn't put it down as a 'disgrace' or an 'embarrassment'. Fact is that teams like Man City are almost playing a different sport to us now. The quality they have assembled throughout the squad is ridiculous. Hopefully Mapou will start at CB and Anita in midfield after what happened, and we'll give most other teams a decent game. Pathetic, snivelling rubbish.

You been up to the training ground spying on Pards?

This was clear to see at 0-3 and 0-6 imo. What was particularly alarming last night wasn't the performance, we knew what that would be like, but the displays of petulance in the first half. Cisse, Yanga-Mbiwa, Sissoko, Debuchy and Taylor were all at it. We're one game into the new season and we've got a seriously disgruntled group of players. I'm worried.

    Sleep tight everyone.
  14. Mad isn't it. I honestly didn't think they'd be as disheartened as I am.

Ooh, ooh, I'll have a quid on 'none of them'!
  16. The last of 5 to do something stupid in 45 minutes of football. It's stunning tbh, at least last season they lasted until February before the open mutiny.

40 minutes into the season and 4 of our players have done petulant things on the pitch.
  18. We're not gonna get the ball, though. Anita is much better at ineffectively harrying the opposition and sitting just outside our box than those two as Man City keep the ball for 8 minutes at a time. You've now got to go 90 minutes without complaining about Tiote or Jonas losing possession. Enjoy
  19. For me it's more a case of why did we sign him? Same with Amalfitano. Complete waste of time and money. Yeah, that's fair enough. In terms of the outrage at team selection, at this point it's like complaining you've got blood on your favourite shirt after your family was butchered to death in front of you. We've got Ashley, Kinnear and Pardew running the club. On another day, I would be complaining about the Anita thing too, but right now I'm too disaffected to be angry about details maybe. Nah, sorry. Pardew can't do anything about the hand he's dealt, but he's responsible for how he plays it. I'm fucking sick of seeing him limp in under the gun with AA.
  20. It, obviously, should be Sissoko instead of Jonas, not Anita. Anita instead of Tiote, should have been the case since Christmas.
  21. Considering he'd be replacing either Jonas or Tiote I think his inclusion would be more than marginal.
  22. Sound the alarm! I heard finance excuses in the pre match interview.
