  1. So proud of our fans for this. I slag them off plenty but I love them just as much.
  2. So nice to hear this reception for him
  3. Aye if someone can get me a PSG programme for the bairn I would hugely appreciate it like.
  4. My point is we need to be smarter about it in future.
  5. Complete bollocks, unsure as to why you're pretending, don't care any more.
  6. There's more to it than that as he was playing for his home town club, but you knew that.
  7. Whilst I acknowledge the hilarity of your post, it's doable and we need to do more to protect ourselves in future. The club can't just bemoan bad luck.
  8. Seems like a sensible start but there's plenty of other background checks you can do. Talk to friends/family/ex-colleagues.
  9. That's an assumption, I presume? Even so, the likelihood that past indiscretions will be concealed necessitates more thorough checks. We should never be paying the price for the conduct of a player at another club. Getting him away from Milan seemed too good to be true, it was.
  10. The club clearly have got a lot of work to do on pre-signing checks, it's embarrassing that we are now paying the price for the conduct of a player whilst at a different club.
  11. Jesus probably would have suggested giving that money to the poor TBF, maybe not a ban as such.
  12. Yeah lovely footballer to watch. Howe with him would be
  13. Not their fault you've got spindly little pins.

I have no opinion on Ramsdale, just loved the way @STM phrased that post.
  15. Looks a really tidy player I think, he’ll be fine, potentially much more.
  16. Just me who thought WHU deserved nothing from that?
  17. We’re on a trademark Eddie Howe winning streak now, we’ll win.
  18. This statement (and Keegan’s comments) is clear evidence that it’s something society needs to work on.
  19. Is there, between all men and all women commentators? What is it?
  20. Infuriating and very telling. The amount of men desperate to ‘catch you out’ on such a basic principle of what I see as human decency is depressing.
  21. I don’t consider myself an expert so I wouldn’t want to give a definitive answer but based on the parameters of the discussion so far I think if you’re not prejudiced purely based on sex that’s a more legitimate starting point.
  22. Absolutely, and what you said before about it being a social construct was spot on. This stuff is so pervasive that people don’t see it for what it is, fish don’t realise they’re swimming in water. As @Kid Icarus summed up nicely before though this line of debate started with someone simply stating they had a clear preference for football punditry based on sex alone, and that’s what I’ve been commenting on. Most of the last few pages has been an attempt to deflect from that viewpoint being overly misogynist. I’ll leave it up to others to decide why some might want to do that.
  23. I’ve stated I have no preference whatsoever based on sex. I must have typed that phrase about 10 times now. More misrepresentation of what I said here, it’s really disappointing. If I became aware that I was favouring anyone based on sex alone I’d try to address it.
