  1. Seems a really strange decision to play Anita on Thursday night now, anyhow that's as close to full strength as we could hope to be, luckily enough Tiote's pretty much the only first teamer we've got quality back up for.
  2. fwiw Auclair reckons the pitch is perfect but the lightning is a worry
  3. Because that is rugby 'kick and clap' union. We are on about rugby league. ahh ok, is there a big difference in the conduct of the players? Massively imo. Fair enough

  5. We're discussing respectability in rugby and no-one's mentioned eye gouging or blood capsules? I've got no problem with the sport in particular other than thinking it's boring and esseintially for fat kids who are shit at football, but the idea that it's some sort of noble sport played by gentlemen is absolute bull shit imo, it's no better or worse than football.
  6. The mackems need to take a long hard look at what's going on at Villa.
  7. is their a site where i can see starting line ups?
  8. hahahahaha Brummie take a bow son
  9. Terry at St James' last season was fantastic, he won absolutely everything.
  10. Still can't understand why he'd want to go to City anyway. 10 games a season or something for him if he does. Wasn't he burned like this already by moving to Chelsea? Or am I thinking of someone else?

No. I'm not really sure why I thought that tbh, has he tended to stick to one formation for most of his career?

Am I right in thinking O'Neill is strictly a 4-4-2 man?
  13. Cult hero seems a bit harsh for someone of his quality. Okay if he was better with his end product he would have been top class but then we probably wouldn't have got him. Cult hero status for me is those who are deemed as s**** but perform well above that level despite still only being average (Sibierski is the perfect example). Jonas with end product would have been one of our best wingers ever, without it he is a very good, hardworking player who should be looked back on as an important player during that era. I don't mean it in the sense hes a weak player but played an important part, I see someone as a cult hero as someone who's a bit eccentric a bit out there so to speak but you look back and love them. He will certainly looked back as some kind of hero for us, so a cult hero was the only thing I could really think to call him. Yeah, I also think a cult hero is a player that fans of other clubs don't tend to rate, aren't too bothered about being up against etc but fans of the club they play for know how important they are. Jonas falls perfectly into that category.

David Pleat just said that O' Neill 'used the transfer window shrewdly' at Villa
  15. It's sort of irrelevant really how many plans we have, if Mike isn't buying them for less than they're worth we're not getting them. It would be interesting to know who actually advises him on how much players are worth.
  16. Phew, thought my brain broke. Still have no clue what the connection is mind. There isn't one, I just used the wrong word.
  17. what? edit - ahh yes, it appears I've used that word out of context, my point still stands though
  18. Would be a bit concerning for him to keep on picking up knee injuries that keep him out for 3-4 weeks.
  19. Same applies really, we're capable of beating anyone on our day. Pressure's off here imo, I trust Pardew to make us hard to break down and hope that one of the goal scorers is on form, it's what we do.
