How will the squad get good? Ashley never spends anything so it's a wonder that we have any good players that other teams might be interested in. I mean getting good players, the likes of Tiote and Cabaye, i was trying to say we simply buy them to sell them on. So we do buy good players then? Not what I've heard from most people on here. Don't think you can argue with the quality of most of our transfers, the reason they have been bought in however are so we can sell them for a profit, not build a squad around them and push on. Same can be said for the majority of clubs in our position tbh. Most of the better players don't want to stay for longer than they have to, we're a stepping stone. so you do something to get out of that position, one way could possibly be selling a player for a massive amount of money and using it to improve the squad?

By staying in the PL, playing good football, and even better, getting into Europe. we've just come out of a transfer window in which we've invested 600k into the first team, i dont think Europe's on the agenda, do you? Im just saying that if MA is in it for the PR, it would not neccessarily be bad for the fans. Success on the pitch goes hand in hand with good PR. His Sports Direct signs gets more views if nufc have success on the pitch, gets TV-time and so on. public relations isnt advertising and advertising isnt public relations, it's a completely different thing. one is about good will, the other is about images and the way human beings recognise images and seek patterns. sports direct signs wont get significantly more views unless we're in the champions league.

Tbf if he did that he did it quite poorly, he hasn't got more then bad publicity during his time here. And his publicity hasn't really reached further then the borders of UK.
