-
and missing sitters....
-
absolutely the right decision imo

Bramble back in the starting lineup after Ferdinand had a reasonable start (i know he's not there anymore)

'stop being nasty to mike and you might get a striker'

Only short sighted Sunderland fans would laugh at your crowds. We're both going to be quite a bit down from capacity in games this season, due to the current economic climate and an increaing malaise towards the modern game. I think the biggest factor is the feeling towards the modern game, you've spent a lot of money & got nowhere, we've spent nothing, so both sets of fans can look at it & scratch their heads, especially when you get people like Mark Lawrenson claiming teams like us will need to spend about £100m to get to the top 6! imagine how many players mike and dekka could get with 100m, at least 20

it might be a great article but he's clearly insane... -
heaton's not bad at all, it's just right next to byker. from the centre of tynemouth you can be in the arse end of north shields within minutes, doesnt make them the same place.

There is a difference between sentimentality and man management... such insight. raylor's had a decent start, he's scored two free kicks but other than that been ok at the job he's there to do primarily. if you want to reward him leave him in the position he's had a decent start in, or put him at right back where simpson's been poor. don't weaken our midfield needlessly just to keep his spirits up, it's counter-productive. I guess that is where Pardew earns his coin, by using the information he gets on a daily basis at training and using that as best he can to get the 3points. In terms of mobility and physical presence I don't see a massive difference between Barton and Taylor, Taylor is probably the closest thing we have to a direct 'replacement' for Barton on the right wing. Won't take people on, has a decent cross on him, will pick up dodgy bookings and likes to take a set piece. Oh and he's scouse as well, so you'll never know when he'll randomly get sent off. Would be a pretty awful partnership with Simpson though. Didn't we have Raylor RB, Simpson RW at one point (or was it saylor?) ryan taylor is half as good a footballer as joey barton, at best

it is unless you're in the denial stage

ridiculous imo, we can't afford to be sentimental.

the fuck? people are talking about starting Raylor in midfield? the fuck? midfield's the position we're we've got the most depth, he should never be playing there

Ba should be starting for the same reason as Santon, away to a poor team, get his confidence up. -
mint. i can't wait to see Ben Arfa get Brian back in the kitchen
-
away to QPR is probably the best fixture you could hope for to give him his debut tbh

 'The squad's weaker Mike' 'Go out there and tell them it's stronger Alan'

yep. if you want players to be available without release clauses or with 6 months left on their contract, you've got to make them available by bidding higher than the market value. not gonna happen. Aye, Santon this summer, or Tiote (and I suppose Perch) last summer never happened (nor the majority of players we have brought in under Ashley). granted my original point was too general, it still applies for some transfers though, namely the important ones, and even more so for strikers. our transfer strategy is far too inflexible and the team is suffering because of it.
