  1. he's an upgrade on taylor and williamson as well
  2. Too right. http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/4665/nigeldejong1731521c.jpg
  3. Fucking pitiful. i'm sure i read somewhere that shearer insisted that we sign him up after his trial?
  4. i'm fairly happy with this like, if he's replacing jonas i'll be livid but other than that there's nothing negative about it at all imo
  5. I'd contest that, maybe KingDawson can confirm, but in the brief appearances he made he looked just as good as he did at QPR. He looked terrible at Spurs. Greedy, no positional sense etc. he actually looked fantastically talented and there are posts on here to back that up, he was just in-experienced, not terrible by any stretch of the imagination.
  6. i think he's good, very quick. certainly an improvement on what we've got, as a support striker i mean.

that picture enrique's eyeing the back door and williamson's been photoshopped in
  8. nile looks like he's bulked up significantly

    Alan Pardew

That's a bit different to him throwing a wobbler because he couldn't take set pieces. pardew's just admitted that they 'saw the problems coming' regarding barton and the usa trip. that's f***ing ridiculous, they shouldnt be going on a pre-season trip without one of the best players. yes it's his own fault for ending up in jail but we are where we are and we should be together as a team. Load of rubbish that like. So our whole pre-season plans should revolve around Barton? no. our pre-season plans shouldnt exclude any players at all, especially the ones who matter on the pitch
  10. well done for hitting that horse-shit right out of the park

    Hatem Ben Arfa

To be fair we hammered them llast season without him, i'm sure we can do the same again Who scored a hat trick in that game again ? And is he still here ? You're right, I forgot the only way to beat a team was to put out exactly the same lineup from the last time you beat them and wait for the exact same match to happen again. It might be to hold on to one of your best goalscorers to give yourself a better chance in the next game. Nah, would rather not have to rely on a bloke that was blowing out his arse after 60 minutes of most games to be hoenst. Better off replacing him with proper athletes. Fair enough as far as it goes, but how many of these proper athletes(presumably the close season signings) have you seen play and what are their goalscoring record like ? Well Demba Ba's isnt too shabby to be fair is it? Lets not forget, Nolans goals dried up big time when Carroll left, what was it, 2 after he left? And when he didnt score he didnt contribute, or contributed very little at least. It might have been a good idea to make some attempt to hold onto Carroll as well. SILLY MONEY I would rather have Carroll than the money, which we know isn't going top be spent. You can't sit and watch a balance sheet. Best response I've seen in a while. Makes sense aswell, which is a bonus!! i was taking the piss
  12. his twitter image is now david brent, you dont have to look too far for a sub-text
  13. two more players? so that's a replacement for enrique who they've been 'primed for' for ages, and target number 6 up front?

    Alan Pardew

The way Ashley runs the club, he's exactly what we need though (if that makes sense). It's no good a manager coming in wanting to stamp his authority because he'll not last five-minutes. Our best bet short-term at least unless we get taken over is with things as they are. The day Pardew leaves under Ashley is the day we well and truly are f***ed imo, because at least he came in knowing what to expect. Nobody better than Pardew would in these circumstances. i think the day pardew leaves is the day ashley might go a very very small way to accepting that he cant run a football club the way he is attempting and therefore either sell at a lower price or re-think what he's doing. so i'm all for it. No chance. Nut is right, Pardew is working in the best way that any manager can work with Ashley. Doing his best to deal with the questions in public and (hopefully) putting as much pressure as he can on him behind the scenes. no chance what? we're never going anywhere with ashley. if pardew leaving makes ashley accept he cant just hang around, turn us profit making and fuck the club up the arse with a red and blue dildo with sportsdirect.com on it then i cant wait until he's had enough.

  17. you're right, we should offer him what we can afford
  18. i respectfully disagree. it's more than a little short sighted to believe that because someone's paid well they should keep their opinions to themselves, and that goes for anyone not just footballers. I'm not sure about you but if I wanted a footballer to be a 'role model' which i'm not sure about anyway! Then I'd certainly want my kids to look up to the sort of person who speaks out on what they perceive as injustices or wrong doing, not the sort of person who takes the money and shuts up, that's an appalling example for any kid. Sportsmen? Noble purpose? What are you talking about? They're paid to play football, that's it. I think there are channels where unhappy players can vent their anger, but it shouldn't be on twitter or in the press. If you're unhappy, it should be discussed behind closed doors. absolutely. seems unlikely though doesnt it? the players will know as well as us it's pointless talking to pardew about it. So go above Pardew's head then. If I'm unhappy with something and my boss doesn't do anything to rectify it, I speak to his boss. yeah So you really don't think this whole Barton thing has gone up to Pardew's boss? all i was doing was making a point about speaking out vs saying nothing because of 'the wages you're on'
