Parker obviously thought he'd made it, that's why he publicly told Roeder to shove it at the end of last season. Roeder is probably still sending him unanswered texts while Big Sam is tying up hot Newcastle performers like N'Zogbia and Milner to decent long term contracts. Who got it wrong and who got it right is obvious to all but the wilfully blind. not reaaly as n'zog fell into the parker sect of doing it one year and being s*** the next So Roeder had it sussed all along then. No doubt Spurs England and Man U will be head-hunting this supreme leader whoes only downfall was injuries and his best players recovering from them. absolutely, his man management skill and motivational nouse are known in the game to be second to none, that fact that he never once had a go at a star player during his time at the club, and constantly shouted at the young lads, is the icing on the cake for me, go glenn

or SAFC crested haha yeah that aswell

If Roeder was strong enough to allow for real competition you would have a point. Most people's impression was that senior players walked all over him - I can think of Owen, Shearer and Parker just to name three. Remember the embarassing sight of Glenda begging his players to do a lap of honour at the end of last season and Parker pushing Roeder away while giving him a mouthful? Roeder was a toadying lick-spittle and he got what he deserved from his team, total lack of respect and contempt. roeder played duff on merit..................thats how bad n'zog was! is the truth that hard to take ? Under Big Sam the Zog is looking like a player again. Is that truth hard to take? which is why i've said i'm very happy at his form and last season repeatedly said i wanted him to produce his previous seasons form,......the truth is bloody easy to take! i have this simple system you see, criticise a player when he plays poorly, praise the player when he plays well. introduce this system too......comprehend the fact that the way the manager interacts with players affects how they play, some more than others, n'zogbia is a young lad in a foreign country who needs confidence, roeder didnt give him any, n'zogbias form dipped, sam's given him some confidence, his form's drastically improved. simple system innit? a regular behind closed doors eh ? so i have to be the cleaner at the training ground to assume (and notice i say assume, i'm admitting there's a flaw in my argument, i dont KNOW these things, but we have to speculate, we dont know much about what goes on behind close doors) that sams influence on n'zogbia has helped him back into form?. From my life experience so far, i can tell that people perform better in their jobs, whatever their job may be, when they have confidence in their ability, especially, when that job involves them using a natural talent of theirs. i can also pretty confidently say that having perfomed well at their job for a year, said person would be most miffed to lose it to someone else, stay at the company, but not get much to do, when others that had been under-performing kept their regular roles. i also know that people that are young, people that are living in a foreign country, and people who dont start out with more natural security than others, would be more susceptible to drops in confidence. I imagine Sam Allardyce knows these things too, as do i imagine Bobby Robson does, both have been often talked about as excellent man managers, as for Roeder, its never been one of his strong points as far as i'm aware, but feel free to enlighten me. and we also know of plenty young players who have shined for 1 season the burned away. Fair enough, and it's possible (though very unlikely IMO) N'Zogbia is one of them. But he should at least get a chance to replicate his form, no? Spot should have been his to lose tbh, and bringing in Duff just took it off him very unfairly. he's had the chance everytime he played and bringing duff in is only dodgy if placed alongside needing other positions stregthened.that doesn't alter the position that n'zog was in as even if we had all other positions covered he'd have took a huff at the competition.maybe he's grown up a bit and realised the competition is a necessary evil. imagine last season if n'zogs form had turned out like that and we hadn't even had duff ? there is as much evidence to suggest his lack of form was due to "made it " syndrome as being pissed off at them bringing someone else in fair points, maybe i over-egged the pudding on the whole duff issue, a simpler way to put it would be just to say that i think allardyce is 100 times the manager roeder will ever be, and that i believe that his man management skills are largely to thank for n'zogbias form this season, not dis-counting the actual players effort aswell, obviously

I have told you that, looking at our last decade, whereby only 4 clubs have qualified for europe more than us, and we have attracted top trophy winning managers, top international players, and filled a 50000 stadium, there must be a hell of a lot of thick twats out there. I suspect that really you wouldn't know a thick t*** was if it stood in front of you and said "Stephen Spence was a top footballer". How thick do you think all the other chairman are, if they can't do better than the thick incompetent tosser we had at Newcastle ? Bruce was not offered the Newcastle job. I have not excused Souness, even though the thick t*** Liverpool, Southampton, Blackburn and Rangers directors also appointed him to manage clubs in the UK. Roeder had its merits, as he did well as a caretaker. I take it you also think that Steve Gibson is a thick t*** for appointing 2 managers without winning track records in management, and little experience. I also suspect that as you have carefully avoided answering this, you know the point I am making to be correct. Quite a lot of people thought Roeder was worth a punt, and some people such as Ozzie Mandiarse still defend the actions of Souness when he was manager. I think you should ask them what their thoughts are regarding this, I take it you knew in advance that Roeder wouldn't work out. Could you please tell us if you thought that a manager who had won 4 league titles with 2 different clubs was a bad appointment, and if so what criteria you would use instead ? And while you are at it, you can tell us how you appear to think that we are the only club with the only chairman that have made s*** appointments, yet have attracted 50000 fans to home games, and why they have attended if things have been so s**** ? Yes, I mean you. Assuming you go, why have you done this if things have been so s**** ? I also see that you STILL are unable to see the completely ludicrous suggestion that the majority shareholders of a multi million pound industry leave the most important decision to someone else. Look all I am asking is that someone who supports Shepherd's leadership can attempt to suggest his reasoning for wanting to appoint managers like Souness, Bruce or Roeder. What made him pinpoint these men? Was it their tactical acumen? Was it their successful transfer dealings? Was it because they were good players? Was it because they were geordies? What was it you believe your man saw in these potential leaders of our club? No board runs a club that qualifies more for europe than everyone bar 4 teams, fills a 50000 stadium, and buys Top quality international footballers, that is incompetent, s****, hopeless, call it what you want. But it's quite feasable that a chairman could inherit a strong club, and through utter incompetence in all areas, take them backwards? Personally i've no argument against your point that Hall took us over, and took us to where we want to be, and from then on things were way better than they had been, yep, great, all fine. But i just cant get over this sticking up for shepherd thing, i mean, we went, BACKWARDS MAN. Worse managers, worse players, worse performances from players, worse league finishes. To be honest i dont even mind the debt, a club thats moving forward with a manageable debt? Fine, absolutely fine, but a club thats moving backwards AND going more into debt, nope, sorry, good riddance.

cracking news, he's a great player, and obviously thrives on confidence, which it seems sam has a knack of instilling into people, well done to all involved

ffs, 'why are we building a squad?'

i'll second that notion, irrelevant tbh, ambiton, yes please, spending loads of money because you think it looks ambitious, no thanks
-
Is Mort a better chairman than Shepherd because he's spent more cash this year then Shepherd spent last year? has he ? Remind us how much we got for Dyer and Parker again ? Interesting you are now considering this criteria, having in the past insinuated it was completely irrelevant. mackems.gif Anyway, I thought you said it is our money and not theirs mackems.gif NE5, to be honest, regardless of whether i agree or disagree with your points, i think its only fair that someone points out to you that following everything you say with one of those laughing emoticons only serves to make you appear extremely patronising and smarmy, it's no way to conduct a discussion if you want any respect

aye, a bit odd to say the least, but top news if he really does fall in love with the club, and the city. Over the years, I've brought a canny few people to Newcastle for matches, weekends, nights out etc and everybody never failed to have a good time and like the city Makes you feel really good tbh when this happens Even when your chewing their ears off telling them what a great chairman FFS is/was. :giggle: not really Jim, most of those times we had a s*** team, which was embarrassing, but they had a good time in the city, a good weekend, and sometimes their teams won. Because we had a s*** team like Aye, been there, done that. and you preferred it to playing in europe regularly, which is far more embarrassing, right ? I wonder what opinions would be on here if Shepherd turned up in a nightclub with a Newcastle shirt on when he was chairman? i reckon people would probably call him a cunt, because he's a cunt

very , very pleased

Mackems 1 Newcastle 4 at the Stadium of Shite. Reasons: it was the most exciting match i've ever attended, it was my 21st birthday, and the looks on their faces when they realised they'd thrown away their half time lead were pure gold, it was also shearers last ever game and goal for us, which in itself was sad as it would've been good for him to play out the season, but it just that felt that extra bit better that his last was against the old enemy.
