Ignacio María González signed from Valencia on year-long loan deal
Dr Venkman replied to a topic in Football
gullem ballaugue (sp?) was just on ssn, he seemed to suggest this lad was a right winger, said something along the lines of valencia signed him because jouqain threatened to leave, but when he decided to stay they 'had 2 players for the right wing position so let him go' -

Where are these rumours? ssn and northern echo, apparently the people that bought man city tried to but newcastle first but ashley didnt want to sell Nothing to do with that. Davig Craig last night: "Newcastle fans may look at Manchester City tonight and feel dissappointed, but I understand that this won't be the last lot of Middle Eastern cash coming into the Premier League this season." why on earth, if true, would that lead to keegan leaving? -

fucking hell man, craig says kk wasnt at training, then they show footage of him 'this morning at training, on the phone, deep in conversation' and its actually terry mac. so we're supposed to believe these people? and their 'highly placed sky sports news football sources' ? fuck off man -

that may be 'news', and it may have been 'released', but its not 'official' and there are no 'quotes', therefore it means 'nothing' -

hahahaha SSN 'he's looking a lone figure there' while showing footage of terry mac on his phone -
Playing the man who has the most assists (guessing) for us last season is an absolute farce? Geremi's never going to set the world alight but he's no Smith. I'm not going to deny Geremi has a good delivery, he probably has the best in our team. But he in no way should be starting on our right wing. He has zero pace, can't beat a man and due to his lack of pace has problems tracking back when opponents break quickly, leaving Beye badly exposed. My piont is Milner should have never been sold if we weren't going to buy a replacement. Why are you ignoring Geremi being a better player than Milner. There is also an arguement that Jonas was bought as Milner's replacement as he plays on the right wing. Seriously, f*** off. You must still be pissed if you think Geremi is a better player than Milner. My piont is also even if Jonas was brought in to play on the right, with our squad being so small he'll end playing on the left a fair bit. Geremi is a better player than Milner. He scores more and he creates more despite being older and slower. Milner has scored 11 goals in 136 appearances for fuck's sake and is the worst crosser of a ball i've ever seen. FACT

i've just laid £17 at 1.8, thanks daily mail -
i've been saying all day i reckon well sign a few and not announce it for ages, i wouldnt be too dis-heartened that david craig hasnt got any 'exclusives' for us
-
someone should tell man city to spend their day putting in bids for players that actually want to join them, they'll end up with no-one having just sold one of their best players, unless they're gonna bid 1 billion for the premier league tomorrow and open the transfer window again

mask was fucking brilliant

ssn already setting up the CRISIS IN TOON AS ASHLEY SELLS BARTON BEHIND KEEGANS BACK story line
-
as much as i admire and share your optimism, i have a feeling they wont bother announcing anything until the night before the hull game
-
where have they got this idiot reporting in manchester from on ssn? he's not even convincing, you can tell he's making it up off the top of his head

Yes but we've only signed 2 today, the other 4 don't count. They count but when you've got a squad as small as ours, we need more, a fuking lot more, or are you happy with the size of our squad? You like things little? Assuming the Xisco deal is sealed, the size of our squad is acceptable and in line with those of our competitors. I was hoping for more than a relegation fight. Yet you still want to sell Owen with little chance of replacing him? Crazy. I'd rather sell him now than let him walk away for free. Yes am totally fuking mad. Tit. why?

Starting to think not. Was optimistic a few hours ago, but its died off now, reckon thats it, if so, a very poor summer which could have been so much better. Still a load of shite on the books that we need to get rid of, sounds daft but i'd be happy if a couple more players had left, even if they were not replaced. would you be more satisfied if we sold owen today? More satisfied if Ameobi & Smith were sold without being replaced. If Owen doesn't sign a new deal, then yes, i'd like to have seen him leave as well, because its twitchy bum time when it get to January and European clubs start to look at pre-contracting Owen. I'm sure you'd be more satisfied to keep him for a season and let him go for free? I'd rather keep him and let him go for free next year, yeah. I would hope that we wouldn't require his transfer fee in order to replace him. He's much more valuable to us this season as a player than he is as £8m £8m fee & £5m wages and at any moment one injury away from another missed season. Love your thinking. IF IF IF IF IF More valuable to us NOW than the money would be. If you can guarantee a replacement coming in today (who wouldn't get injured for the entire season, and would be a goalscorer in the premiership) I'll agree with you. The bigger IF is IF he doesn't get injured this season, even bigger than that is IF he signs on again. name a player we can get for 8 million with as good a record in the premiership, tonight, and try not to mention injuries because anyone can get injured.
