he'd have done what he done for them, won lots but didn't have a clue where it was going. pretty pointless really. But a vast improvement, nonetheless. I'd rather we just start Shola, who is perfectly adequate for that role. Nolan would have improved us more than Carroll, if only because he'd fill in that massive gap between the midfield and attack, and force us to play a 4-3-3 to accommodate him.
-
If we're to believe him all of our poor play stems from chronic lethargy as well.
-
Wake the fuck up Pards, we've tried the direct ball to Ba/Cisse at least 10 times now and it hasn't stuck on to them even once.
-
Nolan+Carroll would make an interesting Plan B, but having seen the way we've played you can bet on it being plan A for 90% of our games.
-
If he plays at all.
-
Ah fuck you, there goes my clean sheet

Ugh, I still get the chills when I think about the last time Tavernier played in the league for us. Fergie is arguably ready to be started though.
-
Sammy to bounce one in off Cisse's arse again, 0-1
-
If we're going to fuck around with having Shola in the team we may as well play the 4-4-2.
-
Still haven't stopped laughing
-
That sort of thing can't happen when no one really knows what they're meant to be doing with the ball.
-
Its embarrassing how our players always look clueless when we're in an attacking position.
-
Argh, god dammit. Hate it when other clubs make us look like shit with decent (team) attacking play.
-
^He's still right about it being more like a 4-5-1 than 4-3-3 though.
-
Not like he hasnt had enough time out this season already, ay? Meh, that red card was inevitable, was going to come this game or the next.
-
Hope the time out does him some good, really needs to calm down a bit.
-
Jonas has been our worst player so far
-
Woo, Shola starting
-
Wasn't it Williamson who lost his marker for one of the headers? Could be wrong about that. Harper cost us what really should have been a goal when he fannied round on the ball with Welbeck lurking. Just because a goal didn't come from it doesn't absolve him. Neither are good enough. Not going to argue that they are, but on balance they weren't especially bad today, besides Harper's moment of madness, which is hardly a normal thing for him.
-
Yeah, he just looks so angry all the time nowadays, not to mention that he was much more effective when he stuck to simple sideway passes.
-
Harsh considering that they weren't directly at fault for any of the goals. (imo corner defending relies on team effort)
