Forza! 2-0 Milan, Kaka with both will do me. Give the Milan fans something to rememeber him by before his inevitable move to City PS: Bolo fucking Zenden?!?

I was going to say the same thing. If there's nobody to check then just buy a juvenile ticket all the time for half the price. At City they have these guys behind every turnstile holding some sort of gizmo...I'm not that good at describing things...Its kind of like a massive mobile phone looking dealie. I assume it flashes up the details of whoever's card just got zapped, so they can tell if middle aged men are trying to get in on a ticket assigned to a 7 year old girl. I believe they also have a little scanner in them so they can tell the people who are attending on a match to match basis what seat they are in (If they've forgotten their reciept).
-
Maybe. If they're using the same technology as they do at City. Here they have these Matchcard dealies where you buy the games individually. Its basically the same gizmo as a normal seasoncard, but the turnstile won't open unless you've paid for the game beforehand.

Is this numbers reliable? Not in the slightest. The Everton figure constantly amuses me. Ya, seems low. And the Chelsea one seems way too high - Unless this was a survey of 5000 14 year old fickle cockney glory hunting schoolkids. Don't know owt about how reputable this Roy Morgan is...I don't suppose anyone here is an expert on the worlds various market research companies and the accuracy of their findings? That was my point. Should ask 25-45 year olds or something. For example: When compared to the average UK football supporter: Manchester United supporters are: * 81% more likely to be aged between 14 and 17. Uh huh, I get where you're coming from. So I would say that without knowing who was surveyed (For all we know, they could have asked 5000 kids, or 5) its pretty safe to dismiss this in the main.

Is this numbers reliable? I would put that in the "ish" bracket.

Because I wanted your attention... The guy that gathered the material for the chart is a City fan Ya, just trawling thru me bookmarks came across the place where this was originally posted : PurelyManCity. Good site, the guy who does it has the inside track on all sorts of shite, and puts a lot of work into his posts. Apparently he also knows how many fans Newcastle have in the UK. (Don't tell Stevie, but its less than Spurs ) He's also posted a chart for Kit deals. http://www.purelymancity.com/wp-content/newkitdeals.jpg

Where does that article say they're selling Campbell? Saying Allardyce is interested is blatantly not the same as Redknapp saying he can go I've not read any report that suggests Distin will be getting a pay rise compared to what City were offering. But I can think of 3 reasons he would go there. 1 - They're building a decent team. Good last year, about to sign a great talent in Muntari...etc. 2 - Longer contract. 3 - Signing on fee. I think its more than likely to be #1, considering Distin is probably already absolutely minted.
-
Why are City in bold? And why are we getting less money than no-mark clubs like Bolton and Fulham?
-
Well...I've not read all the way thru this thread (I stopped when someone compared Distin to Bramble, If I had read any further there was a serious risk my eyes would start bleeding). But Distin has left City today. I'm absolutely gutted, he's been a tremendous player for City in his spell here and I'll certainly give him a welcome reception if I'm there if/when when he turns up playing for someone else. I'd hoped that the potential of a takeover might sway him but thats not to be by the looks of it...Wants a change. Don't really care about his motivations, I've got too much respect for him to speculate. But he's on his way to Pompey by all accounts - I really think they could be an interesting team next season - Sulley Muntari on his way? Even if Campbell heads north, I don't think they'll miss him if they replace him with Distin (as long as they dont pair him with Shitus Shambles). Can see them cracking Europe if they get a decent striker in as well.

WTF? Why is Sibierski doing turning down a contract at a club like Newcastle? Times like this make me realise some of these footballers don't even know they're born...who's going to give him a deal now? Real fucking Madrid?
-
I think he's probably talking about the absense of a money tree growing in the centre circle at OT. PS: I just realised Hargreaves is shit. I'll change my mind if the deal doesn't go thru tho
-
Not quite the same tho. Celtic/Rangers might be able to overtake clubs like City, Spurs, Everton, Villa given a level playing field in TV cash. In a superleague, who are Newcastle going to overtake? Barcelona? Real? Milan? Inter? Juve? Arsenal? Liverpool? Bayern? Manure? No. Lets not forget that while you're getting more money and improving, so are these guys - they'll expel all the shite like Darren Fletcher and be getting even better. OK theres slightly (...) more room for improvement at Newcastle than their is at Barcelona...but the cream rises to the top. Can't see owt other than season after season of continous losing.
-
This is a good thing? You'd get absolutely murdered. Every fucking week. If this organization creates their own European Super league the money they will recieve will be enormous. And every week Newcastle will be playing with clubs like Milan,Inter,Barca,Real Madrid while Manchester City will be playing with the likes of Birmingam,Sunderland,Wigan and Fulham Still think its not a good thing to be involved in this? Prefer to see my team win a game occasionally thanks.... Any supporter who prefers his team to play with teams like Wigan,Fulham and Birmingam instead of teams like Milan,Barca,Inter and Real Madrid is a very confused person What would you rather watch: Barcelona 8-1 Newcastle or Newcastle 2-1 Everton ?

PS: Just looked Paul Hayward up, trying to see if he was a Liverpool fan. Still don't know...but discovered he ghost wrote Owen's autobiography...
-
Quality entertainment this morning, he was practically frothing at the mouth when he was talking about Owen. Apparantley you kidnapped him? I don't know but I would assume he is a Liverpool fan...His jumper might be a clue but the way he was talking about Owen/Liverpool/Benitez makes me think so...He was getting a bit emotional. Talkng like you'd stolen his lollypop or something Almost as funny as some muppet who thinks Beckham should be back cos he's a better crosser than Lennon trying to defend Pearce cos he talked him up a year ago
-
Giggs is quality to be fair. Wasn't great today, but nobody was really. As evidenced by the fact that you declared a keeper who didn't really make any saves to be MOTM. To be fair, I've mostly been watching the cricket. Did make a few good contributions tho, there was a good run from Rooney where he dived in and pulled it off his toes, and there was a ball over the top that Essien missed that he nicked off his toes. Hardly anyone else did owt interesting...and I refuse to give my MotM award to some boring sod for turning the cup final into a chess match.
-
Well, considering we went out in the quarter finals to Blackburn, I think its probably just beyond us this year. Man of the Match: Cech. For all these times he kept on nicking it off Rooney's toe. Clown of the Match: Giggs. Re-affirm my opinion that he's probably the most overrated player of his generation. Special mention to Darren Fletcher. What the fuck is he all about. I mean, seriously, what the fuck? Congratulations to Chelsea. I'm glad they've won it. Well, I'm glad the other lot didn't win it. Phew.

Just seen the new City away kit for the first time - Soccer AM gave it to Noel Gallagher for a birthday present. Same as the home kit, but purple. Looked a bit shit really.
-
Thinking of Stalybridge Celtic maybe? Farsley is nowhere near Manchester.

Utter cretin of a manager to be replaced by proven quality. Penny pinching chairman replaced by Gajillionaire. "Slight Improvement" (Note that at this stage I refuse to entertain thoughts of any of the above not happening, its the off season, I'm allowed to be happy!) High hopes? Erm, ya.
