What's the betting that just for shits and giggles he decides an attacking formation for the first time in his career tonight?

The unfortunate thing is this is the sort of game we'll lose just so we can hear more insufferable shite from this troll for years to come.

Had to pull this out from ohmelads post. Maybe it's not one for another thread, this one is about injuries after all... It's a very good point. Do people think our injuries will be as bad these days anyway? I genuinely think that, barring multiple freak accidents, we won't see nearly as many injuries this season. In particular, muscle injuries and the like, and general lack of fitness with Hughton. He seems to have got pretty much everything else spot on in revitalising the club. I think it's safe to say that forgetting a curse, it had to be management that were hindering our players' fitness in the past. So many injuries just couldn't be explained after a while. Let's not forget of course the amount of crocks we did have on the books, which is one kind of player Hughton just hasn't seemed to invest in once, thank God.

Fucking hell the man will never shut up will he. Always has to throw a fucking stat in.
-
Genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see Willi in there if he keeps this up. Just the many years of playing in the Premiership and the 'couldn't get a game for Pompey' stigma. But he's definitely been up there in terms of performers so far.

Painfully mediocre player.

I've just lived a very sheltered life.

God I hate Paul Merson.

If this happens I desperately hope my mates do decide we're going to watch this! Watching an England match with a Newcastle player featuring, maybe 2! Never thought I'd experience that in my life
-
Don't know if it's been mentioned already, but does anyone think some leadership is shining through also? Throughout the match on Sunday I kept seeing him pointing, guiding, organising. The man can do everything
-
So would it be more impressive if he had 7 goals in, say 20 attempts on goal? 'Cause at least he's had more attempts? I don't get how you can slate a player for the amount of shots he's had when he's still scored 7 goals. Clearly doing something right with his attempts.

That'd be awesome.
-
I just seem to recall a few people complaining that even though he may get in positions to score, he still wastes them. Wasn't widespread like the justified complaints about fitness, pace etc.

Is Mike Ashley steering Newcastle United in the right direction?

He's made major fuck ups. Let's just wait and see if they were inexperience or if it's going to happen again. He's not done too bad for a while now. -
At least you saw the faults, Kaiz. I personally wouldn't cry myself to sleep at the thought of Carroll/Ranger. Ameobi/Ranger however...
-
Fantastic, IP needs that in his sig.
-
Exactly. If anyone's to decide this sort of stuff, it certainly can't be managers. Keep it down to independent adjudicators. But there needs to be greater accountability.

Cover for the first team is the single biggest problem with this squad. Lose Krul, Simpson, Ricky, Tiote, Guti or Carroll and I wouldn't be confident. 6 first teamers, that's not good. Only position I'm reasonably happy with once Saylor's back to full fitness is CB.

And we've complained about how he's wasted chances.

Something about different levels of malaria. But, 2 days after being diagnosed?

Just have to highlight this post again. Really? -
The contract is a nothing story, and Spurs wouldn't come in for Hughton if twitchy leaves soon. Maybe a few years down the line if he really proves himself long-term, but nothing to worry about yet.

What a great 2 pages. Thanks for another good laugh womblemaster
