Oh dear. Sounds like their performance was even worse than ours. At least we missed a shitload of chances.
-
I can see that because he's certainly no winger. Also has a good shot on him so could play behind the striker quite easily. Thing is though, Cahill has that role and is one of the leaders of the side so Bily will never play there for a run of games.
-
Has he shown any signs at all of adapting to the game here though? He still shows exactly the same shortcomings as when he first signed. That worries me. Everyone said with a proper pre-season under his belt and a years experience he'd come good but in his limited showings so far he's been awful.

Hibbert is generally a good defender tbf. He's just a bit rubbish at everything else. One of my gripes with Moyes recently has actually been him subbing Hibbert for Coleman when we've been leaking goals and Coleman is weak defensively. Then you've got Osman in front of Hibbert, stinking the place out every week this season and getting away with it. Obvious tactic is Coleman (who is quality going forward) ahead of Hibbert, the solid defender. But not for Moyes since Ossie is his golden boy. Bily scores some fantastic goals and has the odd moment of brilliance but he's slow and weak and I'm struggling to think of any league matches where he played well/consistently for 90mins. He should get more chances at the mo purely because of Osman being so bad this season but I don't particularly rate him. Wouldn't give a shit if he was replaced in January. Donovan is miles better.

Murmurs on Radio Merseyside of an unhappy dressing room. Moyes not giving certain players a chance, having favourites, playing a lot of them out of position etc (which is all true)
-
Had a lot of chances tonight but can't agree we have generally this season. We've played what, 7 games is it? I can think of a few matches where we had literally one or two chances in 90mins despite loads of possession. Couldn't believe he took Yakubu off and stayed 4-5-1 when Beckford came on. Especially when it was fucking obvious it was going to pens.
-
This must happen to us more than anyone else. Off the top of my head- York, Shrewsbury, Port Vale, Millwall, Brentford, Oldham... and I'm only in my fucking early 20's. There's more from years ago and I've probaly missed a couple in my time. Twats.

Anyone want a season ticket?
-
Fucking penalties for fucks sake you fucking useless cunts
-
Had one off the line and a few other chances. Shit. Can't score or keep a clean sheet this season.
-
Should have been a few up and then gave a daft goal away. "...sloppy play between Bilyaletdinov and Osman..." What a shock eh?
-
Collymore used to be a surprisingly decent pundit but has disappeared up his own arse recently.
-
What a bunch of fucking tossers. Another awful team selection by Moyes as well.
-
We made you play s***. A large part of it was Moyes getting the tactics drastically wrong and a very lax attitude from the players. Yes, NUFC closed us down well and pressured us over the pitch but most teams will come to Goodison and do that. I don't think we'll play that badly again all season though. Fully deserved win for you yesterday, mind.
-
We were a total fucking shambles. Haven't played that badly for a long time. Serious questions need asking in the dressing room after that shit. I had to give my liver a severe punishing post-game
-
Aye. He'll do well to come back from this, tbh. Crazy to think that the three keepers England has had in net for recent blunder now play for West Brom (yoyo club), the bottom team in the Premiership, and Bristol City. What? Howard plays for the USA You were saying?
-
I know someone who used to work with him. Camp as a row of tents.

Yeah, Fellaini & Arteta is one of the best centre mid partnerships in the league so lets bloody play it. Stop messing them about in different positions. Coleman has got to play today as well. I'm not daft enough to think Moyes will 'risk' playing him at full back but surely he's got to replace Osman on the wing. Ossie is useless when he's not in the centre, the difference Coleman made straight away against Man Utd was obvious.
-
Therefore I'm expecting: ----------------------Howard--------------------------- Hibbert--------Jags------------Distin---------Baines Osman------Mikel------------Heitinga---------Pienaar ------------------------Fellaini-------------------------- ------------------------Yak------------------------------ Heitinga needs to play centre back or nowhere. He was an absolute joke against Man Utd. Moyes should drop Distin and play him at the back but I doubt he will. He's also said Yak isn't ready for 90mins yet so i doubt he'll start him. I would personally go for Bilyaletdinov in the Cahill role behind Beckford. It's a waste of Fellaini's talent playing him there.

Since when were knock off Barbours smart as fuck?
-
They deserve to stay down for years with crowds like that. Maybe if they backed the team a bit they wouldn't underperform so much? Nobheads.
-
He's crap imo. Only thing he has is a decent shot on him.

Arteta doesn't play on the right. And although Hibbert is an easy target, defensively he's relatively solid actually. It's just getting forward he shows he has such little talent. Just depends if it's one of those days. If so we'll dominate yet again and then draw 1-1. If we however attain a two-goal lead with more than half an hour to go, I can see it being 3 or 4* *now that Geremi won't be given the freedom of Liverpool. Did Arteta not start on the right? Pretty sure he started there and just floated around as he usually does with Osman filling his position when needs be. Arteta hasn't played on the right for a long time. Best part of two years. On Saturday he was playing in a fairly deep central position with Fellaini advanced and Cahill up front. In the second half Fellaini & Arteta swapped roles. Osman was on the right all game (but often went missing by drifting inside). Arteta usually plays as a central play maker now rather than his early years with us when he was on the wing all the time.

Wouldn't worry about it at this stage. We're already in the bottom 3 and Blackpool are in the top 4.

in all my years playing competitive sport i never went after a ref the way man utd players did and its strange how the accept the refs decision in other sports. Maybe we are watching different sports, but I don't see anything worse in football than any of the other sports I watch and/or play. I don't football much any more as its not my best game, but when I play my other sports there are often fights and arguments. Referees are often question. It is not reprehensible. It is a result of the high pressure environment. You mustn't watch rugby or cricket then.
