  1. 3 games, 2 goals, 1 assist for Beattie He'll do well there being the main man at the club and getting loads of service with the sheer amount of crosses and high balls they put in the box.
  2. Surprised he wants to go to Wigan tbh. Unless he sees it as a shop window for 12months. Not a bad financial deal for you but there's not much time to spend it either...
  3. I know he was very highly thought of as a right back at Tranmere and we had all but signed him at one point, before he went to Wigan, then pulled out for god knows what reason. Hardly got a game when he first went to Wigan and now that he's become a regular he's been playing all over the place- on the left wing a lot of the time. Be interesting to see where you play him and how he gets on. Whatever happens, at least he won't be taking free kicks against you anymore and for 800k you can't go wrong.
  4. Jagielka has been a brilliant signing for Everton. Would be a surprise if he's not in the next England friendly squad. Should have been in every squad over the last year. How the likes of Upson & Mancienne have been picked ahead of him just boggles the mind.
  5. he does the basics. wins the ball, retains it well and gives it to his team. looks to get on the end of things and will try and get beyong the forwards. don't expect defence spitting eye of a needle type passes. slightly worse than scott parker but with more of an eye for goal imo. He's a lot worse than Parker imo. Nolan is a slow midfield clogger whose knack of hitting a few nice volleys each season has bought him a reputation that he doesn't match up to. The price isn't that big though so if he gets a couple of those volleys to move you up the table then he'll pay his fee back.
  6. He isn't but I wouldn't look too much into that, Kuzmanovic and Montolivo are both very highly rated. Montolivo is f***ing brilliant on his day. Aye, the old cliche of "would he turn up on a rainy day away to Wigan?" applied to him though. Perfect example is of when they faced you lot in the Wafa Cup last year. At the Artemio he (and the rest of their midfield) tore you to shreds. However in the reverse fixture when you had the momentum and the crows behind you Montolivo along with others just didn't look up for the battle. Yeah, you're spot on there.
  7. He isn't but I wouldn't look too much into that, Kuzmanovic and Montolivo are both very highly rated. Montolivo is fucking brilliant on his day.
  8. Anyone with a pair of eyes can see that Pennant has more talent & better technique than either Milner or Lennon. However, Pennant is the last one I'd want in my team. Despite his talent he's a shit player because he lacks a decent footballing brain and has an attitude problem. His ship sailed when he left Arsenal under a cloud, if he was ever going to aplly himself properly & fulfil his potential it would have been there.
  9. Isn't he? Horrible argie b******. Three times he made clear dives to try and get our players in trouble and the biased ref fell for it every time. That c*** Bennet might as well have been wearing a red shirt, baldy cheating c***. We were rubbish but defended excellently. If only Howard hadn't f***ed up... Who is this Castillo dude? looked like a league 1 player or something Castillo is an Ecuador international but is rubbish. I'm baffled as to why Moyes started him.... he hasn't played, even as a sub, for over a month but gets thrown into a Merseyside derby? Where's the sense in that? Gosling should have started imo.
  10. Isn't he? Horrible argie bastard. Three times he made clear dives to try and get our players in trouble and the biased ref fell for it every time. That cunt Bennet might as well have been wearing a red shirt, baldy cheating cunt. We were rubbish but defended excellently. If only Howard hadn't fucked up...
  11. You're not far off there. The Pompey highlights were the worst TV coverage of a match I've ever seen. It was also zoomed in way too much throughout. For instance, you could hardly see stuff like the position of the keeper or even the goal when they had replays of someone taking a shot. Total wank.
  12. very true. Gives the first leg home team an unfair advantage especially considering the draw is totally random I remember we got knocked out at Goodison years ago because of that rule. It's totally nonsensical.
  13. Who are the rough birds? Looks like a scene from the Grafton. The poor lad won't know what's hit him when he gets them home.
  14. And punched a woman at a club the other month
  15. I'm not convinced Burdisso will hack it in England. Be interesting to see though.
  16. I love Tim Cahill. Celebrating a goal in their end in the last minute is sweet.
  17. Can anyone explain to me what Bellamy has done to justify his value shooting up since signing for West Ham? He's been either injured or turning in average performances until the last month or so. He's also 29 and has no sell-on value after his next move. Then factor in him going on strike to prove yet again what a disruptive twat he is and you've got a player worth nowhere near £12m, even in the crazy current market.
  18. That's just because he's got no confidence after good ol' Arry fucked his career up He's a better player than he's shown so far. If he'd been playing even semi-regularly he would have taken that chance in the first half.
  19. lol at all the people who believed the London press and voted Spurs
  20. Jammy again, no doubt. Clearly outside the box according to the radio. At least Man Utd are winning.
  21. Palacios to Man Utd in tomorrow's rags. Not a sniff of an Everton transfer. Depressing stuff. Kenwright is like those toffs you see who inherit stately homes worth a fortune but haven't got a pot to piss in and can't maintain the place yet also refuse to cash in and let someone else do the job. c***.
  22. Must be a loan right? He looked a monster at ANC imo That's actually pissed me off now. I'd have taken him on loan in an instant. He supposedly did nothing on loan to Panathaniakos and has barely kicked a ball for Man Utd. He's shit. Good job the work permit rules were bent for one of the "top 4" yet again though. I don't know how we would have coped without Manucho's contribution to English football
  23. Seems to me like Mark Hughes had absolutely fuck all input into the Kaka deal. He claimed he did but that didn't add up at all with the rest of the things he was saying- "I'm not sure what stage the deal is at", "it's apparent that talks have been ongoing for a while" etc They've probably given him a relatively small transfer pot to go after whoever he wants while the Sheikh plays Football Manager with the real money.
