The Sesko story from the beginning is an obviously agent driven ‘generate some interest’ attempt. Surely the only way we could possibly sign him is by massively overpaying his wages, his agent and probably outbidding a cartel club (things we have refused to do all summer). I appreciate why this thread exists out of our sheer desperation but I’d honestly be amazed if he ends up here.

I’m trying to compare the price change from last seasons tickets I bought. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but looks like 10% family, about 17% cat 2, 22% cat 1? if that is somewhere near accurate, it is disgusting. Compounded by the fact they do it on the quiet. The ticketing PR was all “look at us season tickets rise by 5% for this product no one can ever buy again” - then they go and just hike up the member prices like Donald Trump with a tariff board and a marker pen.

What was the category 2 seats last season? Something like 45ish?

If you had some loyalty points, but weren’t a season ticket holder, would they actually be usable for anything? I thought aways were all season ticket holders, with x amount of points

Does stack show the non televised games? Or is it only shearers that can do it as it’s in the stadium?

Wasn’t sure where to post this or if there is a different thread (sorry if so)…does anyone on here know much about junior football (7/8 age group) in Newcastle? Kid is getting into it now but I don’t really know the best place to take him, and looking for a team or club that does good coaching around Heaton or similar areas. He goes to one group but it’s not a team and they are just left to run around without much skill development. Any recommendations much appreciated!

I have applied for most ballots this season (think I missed one or two) and had 4 successes which seems more than average. I have been to 12 home games this season and have tickets for the next 3 (Brentford, Man Utd, palace). I have the friends and family set up with 3 or 4 others who, like me, can usually make the 10am general sales. So we are usually able to buy tickets for each other. The site is confusing and not a smooth experience - my 70 year old dad says he doesn’t understand it and can’t do it. So clearly some accessibility issues the club have there, and I buy tickets for him. Most games we sit together. The site crashing stopped me getting arsenal home tickets in the cup, I didn’t get any Wembley ones and like other members have no chance at an away game. So clearly the ballot doesn’t work very well, whereas the sale sees me get to the majority of games. The 10am must be a frustration with some people but I don’t see an easy fix to that - if they set it at 7pm for example I’d struggle to get online then for various child care related reasons. Last season, when I don’t remember the general sale existing, I barely got to any games. If you are free at 10am on general sale days it is definitely possible to get tickets, including seats together, from my experience this season. The improvements I’d like to see are some kind of long term hope of away eligibility, even if that takes a lot of time and games to accrue.

Were wor flags not doing a display for him this season? I thought that, and him being at a game, was on the cards fairly soon (I had hoped Man Utd game)

That on one of the kids winners 25 shirts? Do they have them made up already or do you just pick up the normal shirt and go and get it all printed on with the carabao and fender badges etc? Was thinking of doing same thing for son

Does anyone know if there is much in Newcastle to see this weekend for kids that is cup final related? Like was that quayside flag display a one off or there for a few days? Trying to think of ways to get my 7 year old involved and if worth taking him anywhere in town

Is it hard to get tickets for something like that? Do you have to be like a psv member or know someone who is? Always think those away sections would be amazing to be in.

With the old shirts, is there any where (in Newcastle ideally) that authenticates them? I have a home shirt and ball signed by the squad from the early 90s with the Mckewans lager sponsor. I don’t ever intend on selling it, but wondered if some kind of authentication would be worthwhile or not.

I looked at their advert about mags plus memberships - am I right that normal members can’t upgrade? Website seems to say that is only allowable for a season ticket holder. I’m not that bothered, but was just looking to see what it was about and seems a bit odd that the upgrade is not available.

Gallowgate is weird how it varies so much in different pockets. Sat in different blocks for the Chelsea, arsenal and Liverpool games. If you are near the back towards strawberry corner it’s really good and near constant singing. The middle section literally might as well be empty. There’s also pockets of blokes doing the look how hard I am standing up all game - in almost complete silence!

Question for those old enough to remember - did the pre expansion version of st James have better acoustics with it being level all around? I often think sound being lost from one end to the other is a negative for atmosphere and people joining in songs
