  1. Allerdyce will get us organised and at least, if we believe what we read, he wants the job!
  2. FFS! The man only thought we "nearly made the UEFA Cup semis and Dyer had a perfectly good goal wiped off", I mean it's only his f*****g job! He's a knob.
  3. I know........ the guy's a total tool mackems.gif
  4. Well based on past experiences then if Pearson wins the Watford game he be confirmed as permanent boss next Sunday night!
  5. I have to say pre-Souness I would have laughed at Big Sam but after the last two jokers all I can say is "come on down Sam we need you". I think his use of the "prozone system" his preparation and his motivational methods can only be good for us.
  6. I posted this in another thread but .... what the hell, it fits here too! Prediction if Roeder stays……. Season ticket sales down by at least 20%. Bottom half finish in Prem next year. The Makems take 6 points off us. Roeder sacked next May.
  7. rubbish check out the poll results there is a majority that will renew to see ten mongolian goat herders kick a sheeps head around if they're wearing black and white and for every person chucking in, there is one right behind taking his place Mark my words....... Season ticket sales will be down. This a board for fanatics of the club, your average fan is so pi$$ed off, he'll not be on here saying he'll renew. I go to the games with a few mates, 5 out of 10 not renewing. Sad but true. I think more supporters will see what changes, who's bought, who goes before deciding. I think you're right, but nowt's going to change. Unless we get taken over, Freddie will be in charge and he'll let GR continue on because he's a total f***witt who knows sod all about the game. I mean who in their right mind would have appointed Souness, Blackburn were about to sack him ffs. Can you tell I'm pi$$ed off?

  9. I do have to wonder, where all this optimism comes from. Does everyone watch the same game as me? Yesterday was crap, we are a very poor team and have little or no chance of finishing top six next year. In my opinion we have four or five Premiership quality players in our squad and one of those is our Keeper, the rest aren’t up to it. If Roeder stays and I think he will, we’ll be crap again next year but I’ll not be renewing, sometimes you just feel you have to make a protest, even if it’ll make no bleed’n difference. Prediction if Roeder stays……. Season ticket sales down by at least 20%. Bottom half finish in Prem next year. The Makems take 6 points off us. Roeder sacked next May. Sorry, don’t want to be negative but I’m serious about all of the above predictions….. sadly. :'(
  10. Which is what I was saying some months back and you were DISagreeing with me, Gem. If anything, Souness had no luck and Roeder's had plenty. How many games have we got a win when we didnt deserve it ? How many did we DESERVE a win under Souness and lost ? I'd say he's got a better eye for players than Souness, its just getting the best out of them that he's incapable of. Roeder is as big a disaster as Souness, - I personally think he's WORSE - just a nicer bloke. But we know where nice guys finish don't we ? And if he is still in charge next season, he'll prove it conclusively. If you renew, you are signing this clubs relegation warrant, if not death warrant. Agree too nice, good coach (pos) not a good manager. How big is this next 12 months for the club? The place is in turmoil, FFS needs to get a grip and either sod off or sort things out. We need a new manager and quickly. We are falling way behind the "big" four and now Spurs and even Bolton ffs. However if you read this board, it seems people are more interested in when the new sodding strip is comming out and what colour "Norther Rock" is going to be...... sigh. (sorry just pi$$ed off!)
  11. Im thinking the same way you are. IMO at the moment Spurs are far better team than us.Maybe as individuals we are equal but as a team they are better. They play fantastic football and are going in the right direction. And although i hate them as much as you do i cant deny the fact that they have overcome us as a club True or not, don't bloody say that. Maybe not far,far better but still better than us For example:can you really think its possible under Glenn Roeder to be leading Chelsea 3:1 at half time at Stamford Bridge? Nah, you're right not far,far better but far, far, far better. (unfortunatly)
  12. Actually, maybe the question should be can we afford NOT to bring in another manager this summer?
  13. Roeder has undoubtedly had poor luck this season. A lot of injuries, hell at one stage we had 16 potential first team players out, 16!, I wonder how many other teams would have amassed the points total we have with that amount of players missing. However (like a ‘but’ a the start of a sentence) the last few weeks apart from Owen and Shola, most are back and we are still a poor, poor side and how we haven’t signed a left back (worth his salt) in any of the last four (count em) transfer windows is simply beyond me. Smacks of total ineptitude to be honest. He should never have been given the job but sacking him is only half the answer, as we all know, the main problems at this club are a level or two above Mr Roeder and until they are sorted one way or the other, we will continue to struggle but…… yeah sorry Glen, you’ve had your chance, muffed it, let some other mug try.
  14. Spurs, Villa (home), Man U (home), Liverpool (home), Arsenal (away) could have and probably should have been “gubbed” in all of those. Take 11 points off what we have now……..
  15. You see that’s just it. It’s not really the fact that we are crap at the minute, let’s face it we’ve been crap many times before. It’s the fact that there just seems to be no end to it in sight and if we are not careful we will become apathetic to the whole club and not give a toss if we’ve won or lost. I mean, I usually don’t watch match of the day if we’ve played badly…… so I just don’t watch it now! (Does big ears still present it?) This could be me getting older and more cynical but I just feel the club are losing the fans, they are pi$$ing off the single biggest and best resource they have and it’s really hard to pi$$ us off we love the f*****g place!
  16. After the recent run of games, I feel I need to ask something. Let’s be honest, we are playing some of the worst football I can ever remember. There’s a lack of passion, vision, ability and tactics. Roeder is now even starting to have the odd crack at his own players. (Probably deserved but never a good sign in my experience.) It looks like FFS is playing some sort of game of “chicken” with the Halls, (sell to me before the clubs worth f-all anyway). We are in the clag, official. Now I’ve been a season ticket holder for years, pre-Keegan but I have to admit I’m totally pi$$ed off with this lot and I’m seriously thinking of doing a HTT and not renewing but it’s my sodding club, I love the f*****g place, it’s in my blood but is it time, to make a point, to stand up and say, “No, enough is enough”? So renew or not renew? That is the question.
  17. F*** me! I agree with Gemmill! What have I been drinking?
  18. Actually, I read somewhere that it was Jason Euell, even more bizzare!
  19. Agreed. He should have been phased upstairs rather than knee-jerk sacked, as I said in the post mistake number 1. But any manager you care to look at will have holes in his transfer dealings - Ferguson & Wenger have both made total balls ups in the past to go with their successes. The point I was making was about strategy, that Robson seemed to have an idea about where he was going and what he was doing; signing players at the right age for the right money instead of at any age for any money, which it's been since he left. We found Jenas by watching Notts Forest on scouting missions - how many have we found since Bobby left? As for Taylor, Ramage, N'Zogbia etc... they were all either signed by him, came through the youth/reserves when he was in charge or he gave them their debuts....what more do you want to credit him with? Taylor was full of potential when he broke through, after a couple of seasons in the first team with Souness and Roeder his confidence looks shot and he's forgotten the basics.... maybe we should credit somebody with that? Okay, I agree with most of your points but I have to say Bobby was left in the job too long by FFS. His replacement was a joke, really, I remember I nearly crashed the bloody car when it was announced. He had to go though, I felt at the time we had to move on. (That's move on, not down) My point about Ramage, Taylor and co was that they would have probably came through anyway, although I know you can never be sure about that. This is a pointless conversation anyway, if however it does have a point, a small one, it would be to say that, apart from the blip that was Bobby Robson, this club has gone steadily downhill since the day Keegan walked away, and that, my friend is a sad, sad, state of affairs.
  20. Much of what you say is fair but you’re not Bobby Robson’s brother are you? Don’t get me wrong, I love Bobby, always will but he should have been “moved upstairs” a full season at least before FFS sacked him. He was too old and had lost the plot tbh. You mention his good signings but what about his not so good signings, Carl Cort, Hugo Viana, Darren Ambrose, off the top of my head. Add that to the far too early sale of Gary Speed and the sale of Nobby for a paltry £1.5M to Villa. I would even struggle to give him all the credit for the “grooming” of Taylor, Ramage, Pattison & Ameobi. No, Bobby did us proud, but he left well after his sell by date. The fact that he’s the only decent manager we’ve had since Keegan, shouldn’t blind us to his failings.
  21. Fact (as I've already said) We are playing a lot worse than at any time last season.
  22. It's the job of the manager to get them motivated. yea that fair enough, and i dont think roeder is good enough, but the players seem to escape from any critism and they are being absolutly dreadful at the moment I think thats because the morale is very low at the moment. FFS Guys, it's the managers job to motivate! He should never have been given the job.
  23. only choice??? your an idiot. Also, name a top club who continuously appoints rubbish, incompetent managers. you cant seriously tell me you still want him in the job? he's a joke of a manager and should never have been appointed in the first place. golden rule, never appoint caretaker managers. remember the last time we did that? we got fking relegated (or so ive been told) after playing in europe the previous season. once again, sorry for having an opinion on an inadequate manager. I'm an idiot? I'm not talking about who you might have wanted for the job. I'm talking about who came You seriously think it is a coincedence that we have only been able to appoint 2 shit managers after sacking SBR and the club has done shite? and don't give me any crap about people weren't approached, of course they were. This is a club which managed to get ex Liverpool and Chelsea managers FFS you think a champions league manager is just going to materialise out of thin air? FFS You think NUFC looks anything more than a poison apple to any half decent manager out there, due in no small part to the short sighted lunacy and hysteria of some of the fans? At last you've said something I agree with. You must be a bloody idiot if you think Roeder was the "only" one we could have appointed, let alone the best, just look at his record ffs! He has us playing with no passion, no spirit, no direction and no shape. Can you honestly say you can see how/what he is trying to do out there? If I could see anything, any signs, I'd give him more time but to be honest, Souy had us playing better and that is saying something! youve totally missed my point Roeder was the only choice out there for us. NOBODY else WANTS the job FFS we COULD have appointed alex feguson. COULD is not DID in REALITY I haven't missed your point. You're an idiot if you really think Roeder was the only choice. The easy option, the cheap option but not the only option.
