The difference is Tonali has been outstanding for the majority of the season. People are criticising Willock because he's been poor for a long time, and didn't do much to change that. It's obviously easier to give Tonali the benefit of the doubt when he has a stinker than it is to give Willock the benefit of the doubt when he has yet another game where he's largely invisible/ineffective.
