  1. Can't believe Willock's muscles survived that
  2. It's a good thing winning the cup has bought Eddie 70 minutes of grace or I'd be absolutely livid right now
  3. Barnes should be allowed one free uppercut in that situation
  4. Mackems digging up old posts are genuinely mental, this has tipped them over the edge. Beside, Europa Conference League is a "mickey mouse" trophy, relative to the CL, doesn't mean I wouldn't fucking love to win it and wasn't jealous of West Ham fans enjoying it a few years back. The Trophy Celebration Police in general are bizarre. I've seen this mentality on various forums. If fans can't enjoy and go completely overboard about winning a trophy, why even bother watching the sport?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Especially considering he got absolutely no help from Salah or their midfield.
  6. Difficult to say... D feels right at the moment, but I would've had Anderson as a D last season, and it's turned out that he's clearly a solid premier league starter having moved elsewhere. Our midfield is tough to break into. Definitely has the potential to be a high B.
  7. Aye, I mentioned earlier in the thread that I thought Slot came across really well in defeat. Plenty of time for him to transform into a knobhead in future of course, but on Sunday he was absolutely sound.
  8. No game in my lifetime has had "after the Lord Mayor's show" written all over it more than this one does
  9. One of them saying "it's not that big a deal" to win the league cup though a club that has won literally nothing, ever.
  10. Conspicuous by your absence yesterday and today, by the way.
  11. The cracks started to show with Klopp as soon as they started losing though, even in the early days.
  12. It may eventually be his undoing, but Slot is much more likeable than Klopp in defeat.

    Joelinton

Probably the biggest legend of all of these players for me. His journey has mirrored the club's journey more than any other player. He was a joke, the man who kicked the ball against his own face when it was easier to score. That was that Newcastle team captured in a moment. He's just given a colossal performance, arguably his best for us. He is the embodiment of this turnaround.

    Tino Livramento

A - one of the best in his position in the world
  15. Greater than both. He delivered what they couldn't, for all the amazing things they also did for the club.
  16. Anybody else just been sat paralyzed in complete and utter shock?
  17. He has absolutely pulled Slot's pants down today. What a fucking bloke.
  18. Whatever happens now, proud as fuck of that first half. We have turned the fuck up.
  19. Interesting to see both teams giving their second choice keepers a run out today
  20. All I want from today is for us to take it to the cunts, have a go. Don't do what we did at Wembley 2 years ago.
  21. Pretty sure he has something like 5 assists so far
  22. Rashford seems to have found some form at Villa, to be fair.
  23. It isn't controversial, but relentlessly blaming the manager just completely lacks nuance. You're ignoring literally every other factor that can affect the performances of a football team.
  24. It doesn't. However, it is obvious that there are reasons for it that extend beyond the manager, the primary of which is key players getting older and the squad as a whole going stale due to a few windows without investment. I've been critical of us this season but your anti-Howe schtick is completely unbalanced and boring tbh.
