  1. Wouldn't say Argentina looked "average". They could have scored six on another day. Chile weren't average, either. In fact, if you dressed the Chile players in yellow and called them Brazil, people would have been jizzing at their performance today.

  3. Players are blaming the ball... All I've seen so far is a lack of real effort and urgency, in a lot of the matches.
  4. Wouldn't say this has been a particularly bad game. It's fascinating, if nothing else.

  6. Better in the second half life. And Paraguay aren't exactly mugs. What's Gordon Freeman got to do with it? Like. Fuck you.

  8. England will get to the quarters. The prospect of a Brazil/Spain final is awesome, assuming they both make it. Argentina vs Spain has epic written all over it, too.
  9. Well it's real, but obviously they wrote it with their tongues wedged firmly in their cheeks.

  11. Err... Yeah, but Brazil as a team are BETTER than their usual standards. They have a more tactically complete unit than any other team in the competition.
  12. Put a good ball through for Forlan when he cut inside and hit it straight at the keeper early on. Didn't do much after that.
  13. Yeah, because if they played during the day they would possibly die due to the heat. In the winter. Their winter is nowt like our winter. At you. Not with you. At you.

  15. Yeah, I think those two will have too much going forward for France and South Africa. Mexico play some shit hot football when they're on song.
  16. A - Mexico, Uruguay B - Argentina, Nigeria C - England, USA D - Germany, Serbia E - Holland, Cameroon F - Italy, Paraguay G - Brazil, Portugal H - Spain, Chile Brazil will probably win it. Not the best team they've had on paper, but there's plenty of talent in their squad and Dunga has them more organised than I've seen any Brazil side in a long time.
  17. Germany will win tha easily I think and Serbia to take 2nd spot. Australians are pretty poor and Ghana will miss Essien too much. The germans are no great shakes these days. I keep hearing this, but I don't think their team, as a unit, is any worse than in recent world cups/european championships...
  18. He has a point like, the Argentinian midfield is shit compared to Barca's.
  19. Was outstanding against Everton and a few other teams in the UEFA Cup. Disappointing in the second leg against Liverpool like.
  20. Couldn't really give a fuck about England. I actually resent a good chunk of the players who represent our national team, so why would I want them to do well by default just because I was born here? Opportunities to enjoy the sight of arseholes like Terry and Gerrard in tears are just too good to neglect.
  21. I still fancy Liverpool to go through unfortunately. Why are they always at home in the second leg ffs. They are shockingly average without Torres, and I can't see them scoring three if Atleticó manage to sneak an away goal.
  22. Why are the channel five commentators acting as if a 1-0 win for Atleticó is a poor result for them?
  23. They ruined it for themselves with piss-poor defending.
  24. Minor contact there, I thought. Alves definitely made the most of it.
