Unless he requested to leave if a "bigger" club came in, which again, you couldn't really hold against him.

Actually genuinely thought this was going to be a drug related scandal.
-
I'm not convinced that Ewerthon is good enough/hungry enough any more, but I'd still have him here at the minute.
-
Sadly you're probably right, but I wouldn't begrudge him a move if a Champions League team came in; he deserves to be playing at the highest level. Been a pleasure to have such a good player in our side this season.
-
Starting to like Dowd, he was good for us in the home derby match as well.
-
He has the potential to be half decent if he'd apply himself a little more sometimes and learn to head the ball.
-
You can post the search terms, or even the title - just not the video please.

Find it hard to separate Ginola and Robert... For everything that Ginola offered in flair, Robert offered in sheer artillery. They both had tremendous amounts of ability and on their day were the very definition of match-winning wingers.

I think if I was a player at Liverpool and one of my friends was moving to Newcastle, I'd be bigging the club up to him and being supportive in much the same way Nolan has with Carroll. It might be unprofessional from the club captain, but you never fall out of love with your boyhood team.
-
Are you taking the piss? We've got 15 games left to play, man. 15 games with 4 strikers who just aren't up to it at this level. We're unbeaten without him. Take away his goals this season. A bigger picture might just form. Without his goals we'd be 16th with a game in hand on several clubs above us.

Why do you "hate to say" that you're beginning to find our new manager likeable? Surely that's a good thing?
-
Keep it in one of the relevant threads please.

well base your vote on your belief of what he will do. It's Mike Ashley we're talking about, I couldn't even hazard a guess at what he intends to do.
-
Would be easy to knee-jerk and hit the "no ambition" button on the back of the Carroll sale, but frankly it depends on what he intends to do with the money.
-
Will prove to be a good signing.

David Craig said "doing all they can" - his interpretation, not the official club statement. The club's line to this point has consistently been "NOT FOR SALE". David Craig is the mouthpiece of Llambias though. If he knows that the bid has been rejected, why couldn't the club tell them 100% not for sale, instead of allowing him to imply that we could negotiate. David Craig is the mouthpiece for Sky Sports News, he'll put forward the side of the story that attracts the most interest.

That, quite frankly, is a lie. You're missing Carroll and Ben Arfa from you're best XI through injury. We have almost an entire team missing. Tiote? Taylor?
-
Exactly. Guy's a 24 year old footballer, don't think "wise financial investment" is top of his list of priorities.

Jonas is a half decent outlet. He can hold the ball up and relieve pressure, win free kicks etc... However, he isn't the type of winger we need if we want to push forward as a club. His work down the left flank with Enrique was very important last season, and he's had the odd moment this season, but if Ben Arfa returns with even a degree of his previous ability, I can't see any justification for keeping Jonas in the team ahead of him.
-
Yep. I have no idea why anyone would want to play him centrally. Likewise, I have no idea why anyone would want to play Nolan in an advanced position and Ireland in a deep-midfield role.
-
To be honest, value is relative to the circumstances of the selling-club, not the transfer fees that have been paid for similar players.

Done so well? If any of them (bar possibly Best for the Wham hattrick) had had their shooting boots on when they deputised for AC we would be sitting here with 4 more league points and possibly still be in the FA cup. Their lack of shooting boots didn't cost us those last minute goals. I was led to believe a win was worth 3 points regardless of how many goals you concede? Eh? You could easily invert that to "a win is worth 3 points regardless of how many goals you score". Regardless of the performance of the strikers, it was mistakes at the other end that cost us points, as we had both games about as close to won as possible.
