  1. I would if one of them wasn't an admin http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/1606/iconwinkat5.gif Not that that's stopped me in the past like.
  2. I remember getting slated in the old, old "General Football" forum for saying he was a better footballer than Lampard. I remember who it was too, but I won't name names http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/1606/iconwinkat5.gif
  3. Ratings of Football Players of Newcastle United for Monday the Thirtieth of April Two Thousand and Seven: Harper - 4 - Chop my fucking legs off and I'll still probably kick a ball better than this frustrating CHEBMONSTER. Solano - 5 - Boldly AVERAGE peruvian performance. More flair needed, and maybe a new hairstyle. Carr - 7 - This FAT little fucker has eaten far too many steak pies*. Decent display. (super head shine bonus point) Bramble - 10 - Pompously HILARIOUS. Probably the most consistently entertaining comedy show I have EVER seen on television. EMMY award standards. Taylor - 6 - Rock solid and pretty damn HEFTY. Hair needs a trim, one point deducted. Dyer - 2 - Obviously ran out of Bling-Power-Energy-Boostâ„¢ early on. Feed him more gold chains before kick off next week mates. Emre - 5 - Typical Turkish performance. Hair analysis: GREASY. Milner - 7 - Impressively ineffective, but just so DAMN handsome. (beauty bonus point) Sibierski - 6 - Shiny headed bald lanky-bastard ruler of the WORLD*. An absolute SULTAN display in the midfield by his standards. Martins - 6 - Poor, but so FUNNY when he gets frustrated. Almost adorable, even. Bonus points for that. Owen - 1 - My girlfriend said he looked SEXIER than ever. Mass jealousy point deductions. I'm told he has a TINY PENIS* anyway. * - Unsubstantiated rumours/guesses; please don't sue newcastle-online.com for libel and/or slander.
  4. To be honest, I don't think we're a better side without Parker. That's not to say I rate Parker - I don't... But to be fair to the lad, Butt and Emre are just as limited in what they actually provide to the team. Especially in an attacking sense.
  5. I don't think you can lump the blame on one party more than the other. It's true that the players, as professionals, should not need motivating. And it is also true that once they lack that motivation (or drive) it is Roeder's job, as a manager, to respond appropriately and re-motivate them. Neither the players nor the manager are doing their job to a high enough standard, and that's why we're almost always absolutely frigging cacktastic to watch.
  6. "If he's good enough, he's old enough", as they say. This is where Roeder needs to show some of that world-renowned judgement of his; because if he IS good enough, giving the lad experience at this stage of his career could be a massive, MASSIVE boost for him -- but if he isn't good enough yet, his confidence could be damaged permanently after ony one or two poor displays. The question is: is Glen capable of making the right decision?

    Please Read This.

Probably not the best thing to post in a thread warning against piracy...
  8. why wouldnt we go down? have you seen us this season? Because we have too good a players to go down, class always prevails, like Everton last season. I'm pretty sure West Ham fans were saying the same thing...

    Booing parker

Yeah, there was definitely booing directing at him coming from the East Stand. It was specifically when HE was on the ball; it wasn't a team thing.
  10. mmm, so you have had a season ticket for 21 years, and you go over the top this much about sibierski? so what the fuck did you do when we signed players such as od mcdonald, george reilly, billy whitehurst etc!!!!!!!!!! fucks sake, chill a bit eh! It's not the signing of sibierski that's the problem, as far as I'm concerned, his signing is just the final piece of the most inanely shit jigsaw puzzle ever invented. We've been absolutely bullshitted all summer long by the Dynamic Duo into think that we MIGHT actually make an effort to strengthen our squad over the summer in areas which have blatantly needed strengthening for years -- instead we've signed an unproven kid, a plank and a winger we don't even frigging need. I think people have a right to be pissed off tonight. The club, via the local and national media, have taken the fans for a ride over the past 3 months. They really have taken the piss. This signing is just the tip of the iceberg.
  11. We haven't paid 5 million for him, whoever thinks we have wants to have there head examined...it's a nominal fee at the most and other reports say it's on a year long loan deal. Well said mate, Jaffa Cake Boy is just a clueless fool who likes jaffa cakes FAR too much. He needs his head examined.
  12. We are actually a fucking laughing stock. More so than ever before. Anyone who knows me will know I'm not one to knee-jerk, and this is genuinely the most embarrassed, speechless and utterly bemused I've ever felt towards newcastle united in my entire lifetime -- and I have a bad feeling that by this time tomorrow those feelings will have descended into pure apathy. I think that's the best way I can put it at the moment, I really, honestly don't know what else to say.
  13. I still don't know what to say. So here's a picture to represent my feelings: http://www.humoronline.com/funny-baby-pictures-13.jpg
  14. Seriously? Without wanting to overreact, what the FUCKING HELL is happening to my club?
  15. Wow, I actually don't know what to say, so I'll just stick with a customary "..."
  16. Shepherd. Though Roeder is in no way exempt from criticism either.

    Same old Sunderland

    "world class manager"
  18. All players have bad games, and all players have bad consecutive games. Even the likes of Maradona and Pele had awful displays, but you wouldn't categorise them as "rubbish" based on seeing those performances, even if it was the first time you'd seen them play. Obviously, I'm not comparing Kuyt to Pele or Maradona, but the point is still valid. There ARE players out there (fumaca) who you watch and think "christ, has he even kicked a ball before?", I agree. But Kuyt is NOT one of those players. His two displays in the world cup were below expectations, yes. But they weren't so bad that they were beyond the point of being dismissible as just "two bad games" and nothing more. They certainly weren't so bad that you could immediately categorise him as being "rubbish" or "simply not good enough" without seeing more. People are swift enough to judge him based on his performances against two of the most solid teams in world football. What would the reaction be if he failed to score against Wigan and Villa?
  19. Judging a player on two games, one against the best team in the tournament and the other a poor team performance against a pretty solid portugal side, is just beyond belief in all honesty. Granted, you can only go off what you've seen, but to pass a player off as "not good enough" on the basis of TWO matches, as some are, is just absolutely incredible. Fact is, Kuyt coming here probably WOULD be a mistake. Not because of a lack of ability. But because the slightly more moronic section of our fanbase wouldn't even give him a chance to prove himself before wanting him out of the door.
  20. As the Premiership fixtures lists for the 2007/08 season are released within the coming week, can everyone please remember that posting fixtures lists on the forum can potentially result in the site being shut down, and will therefore result in an immediate two week ban from the forum for the responsible user, without exception. Fixtures lists are copyrighted property of the FA and Football DataCo. Rulings state that "no part of the Fixtures Lists may be reproduced stored or transmitted in any form without the prior written permission of Football DataCo Limited". There are no excuses for any users who break this rule, and due to the fact that the site has been shut down in the past for this very thing, a zero-tolerance approach will be taken by all members of the moderating team. Please do not take any risks over this issue, and do not attempt to use any work-arounds. This includes using pretend club names and/or trying to disguise the fixture list into any other form. Thanks for your co-operation.

    Its Roeder

Totally underwhelmed by this, if I'm honest.
