Tbf he doesn't suit the style we've been trying to play in a lot of games this season, ie. sit deep and look for the counter. He looked great in the first half today because his starting position wasn't 10 yards inside our own half.
-
I thought Chelsea's best moments came at 2-1, Ramsdale had to make a couple of saves, we made a few last ditch blocks. There was definitely an upturn in momentum before the subs, after that I can't really remember them having a chance other than a couple of Garnacho solo efforts.
-
I respect your opinion on him Doc, I hope you're proven right long term as that'll mean we're improving as a team.
-
He was excellent today but if he reverts to type against your Burnleys and Wolves then it counts for nothing. We all know he has these performances in him against the big sides at SJP. It's the other 30 odd games where he needs to show up.
-
At the risk of facing Dr V's wrath, I'm still not really seeing it tbh. Good 30 minutes when the whole team were fired up, then vanished. Second half we may as well have had 10 men.
-
We've spent the entire week saying he's not being positive enough with the ball, taking on his man, having a go. That run and shot was the only thing I've seen him do with intent since the Barca game. It's a low bar, but I'd rather see him do that than what he has been doing, I also suspect he would've completely fluffed the pass anyway.
-
He slipped, it's just one of those things.
-
To be honest, it's one of those where if he passes and we don't score (which wasn't exactly a dead cert in that position), he would've been slated for not having a go himself. I've been hyper critical of him on here but I'm not going to slate a player for trying to score after running the length of the pitch.
-
I didn't actually mind the one where he shot wide. Yeah he should've passed, but the run was positive and at least he had a go. Rest of his performance was pretty standard.
-
First half was an excellent reaction to last week which I think was to be expected. Second half reverted to type a bit unfortunately albeit with some promising moments. We should've won overall though. One great free kick and a slip cost us. I did feel he waited too long to make subs again mind, it was clear they were getting on top early in the second half.
-
The Gordon one was as clear a penalty as you'll see. The other decisions were less obvious but still annoying because of the above.
-
It wasn't in the box?
-
Doesn't tell the full story though tbf, we've still had moments and the better chances.
-
Need to make some changes here to regain momentum.
-
Nah sorry but that's as clear a penalty as you'll ever see. There's trying to sound balanced and then there's just daft.
-
That's an absolute disgrace
-
Thought it was just a great free kick tbh.
-
We seem to concede early in the second half almost as often as we concede late.
-
Almost in double figures for us already despite not being a striker. Good stuff.
-
He's basically as much a right back as Lewis Hall was a left back when he came here. No reason he can't grow into that position, not that he's even looked like he needs to grow into it today.
-
The one before looked like it was going into a dangerous area if it didn't strike a hand tbf.
-
Well done Ramsdale there for screaming at Thiaw to play on.
-
This is so much fucking better.

Not on this forum, we measure those things in weeks. I'll have his name on my shirt if he scores the winner tomorrow.
