  1. We just don't learn. So fed up of us sitting back and trying to hold on to leads.
  2. They attack how we did in previous seasons at our best btw, absolutely electric on turnovers. We're so laboured now by comparison.
  3. True, although Pope hasn't exactly been convincing from corners either this season. They both need replacing.
  4. Tbf I'd probs still take that over my keeper being on the halfway line
  5. Murphy or Elanga for Gordon, move Barnes to the left. Wissa for Joelinton. Drop Wolte a bit deeper.
  6. Thought we were doing okay up until their fluke goal tbh. We just need to get a grip on the game again.
  7. Meh, I'm quite happy for Slot to keep scraping out fluke results, longer he is in the job the more they'll deteriorate.

    Anthony Elanga

He was a bit better today but his decision making was still pretty poor. Did at least offer a threat though.

    Jacob Ramsey

The handball was the most in control of the ball he looked all match
  10. In the case of last night, the passing didn't need to be elite, our management of the game just needed to be competent. Spurs had very little intensity or pressure on the ball, we just seem to panic in these situations.
  11. We have this issue consistently though. It's not a one off. We drop deep to see leads out, then can't keep the ball as we have no out-balls. The issue isn't the choices of pass or technical ability of the players on the ball IMO, it's the mentality we have to sit deep meaning we have no options to get ourselves out. We do this almost every single time we go one goal up. If it had happened once or twice it would be easy to dust it away as "ah it happens to every team", but we have to be one of the worst in the league at holding on to a lead, especially late in the game.
  12. We don't even need to play with the same intensity tbh, we just need to be able to manage the game and keep the ball. We are criminally bad at holding on to possession once we drop into a defensive shape, the ball just comes back at us over and over again.
  13. We are so poor at managing one goal leads. There was even signs of it against Everton before Pickford pushed Miley's shot through his own legs. Feels like a massive wasted opportunity tonight against a rancid Spurs team.
  14. At least we're reliable at defending one goal leads, should see this out comfortably.

    Lewis Hall

We have demonstrated this season how important dynamic fullbacks are in the modern game. Without Hall and Tino we look a bottom 8 side. With them both in the team, we look a top 6 side. It's definitely undervalued in the game as a whole, and is almost certainly the most important position in our system. Having strong backup options on both sides is essential if we want to become a top 4 four side consistently.

    Nick Woltemade

Isak is a more instinctive striker and positionally more dangerous, but I'm not 100% sure he's a better finisher, especially when given the time to think about a chance.

    Malick Thiaw

It's hard to believe how good he is to be honest. I can't see a single flaw in his game.
  18. Much better away performance. Having Hall and Livramento on the pitch makes such a huge difference for us. Miley has made the spot his own today too IMO. Elite performance in midfield.
  19. Much, much better after the second goal. We have to be ready for them to come out the blocks flying in the second half like.
  20. Looks like our confidence has come back after the second goal. Hopefully we can keep this up into the second half.
  21. Good positive run, that's all he needs to be doing.
