  1. Aye coz Real Madrid never do that do they?
  2. How many times are Atleti going to make that mistake with Costa?
  3. They were murdered by a Costa-less Atletico in the champions league like.

    More than a Forum?

Better left as a forum IMO. I've always liked the idea of the website being impartial; as soon as you start writing articles, those articles are associated as being the opinion of the site as a whole as opposed to that of the author. A front page that acted as a portal for the forum is more inline with the N-O ethos, I think, but I dunno how much work that would be to set up and maintain - a fair bit, I'd imagine.
  5. Hopefully Atleti will score an early goal, for the sake of the match. Well I surely hope so! If they do, which i very much doubt, I might tune in. Getting an early goal against the best defence in the PL+2 extra defenders away from home is a massive task. I really want so see an all Madrid final though. Would be insane. Yup, it'll likely require a moment of magic from Costa, Turan or Koke, especially since Atletico are better themselves at hitting teams on the break than they are at trying to unlock them. I can easily see this one stretching all the way to penalties tbh.

  7. Much more fret in that Atletico team this week with Turan and Adrian in (if the good Adrian turns up), would be surprised if they didn't score at least once tonight.
  8. Talking as if Mourinho vs Ronaldo is more "special" than the final being a local derby as well.
  9. Not convinced it's "job done" at all, Clive. Simeone will be perfectly content with not slipping an away goal.
  10. Because Atletico completely outplayed Barcelona in the quarter final both offensively and defensively?
  11. Conserving I think, they're playing with nowhere near their usual energy at the minute.
  12. Ref spoiling this game already here, whistle happy.
  13. Simeone is the manager Pardew wishes he was. Atletico's combination of defensive organisation and transitional, attractive attacking play is absolutely first rate. Great team to watch.

    José Mourinho

Not sure I agree with that at all. Only their full-backs and Hazard would get into that PSG team for me at the minute.
  15. Verratti wasn't at his best in the first half but he was better in the second when he played at a higher tempo. His style of play isn't always suited to being as deep as he often plays like.
  16. Blanc is very negative at times like, considering the players at his disposal. I find PSG frustrating to watch at times, especially when they go a goal ahead.
  17. Lavezzi and Silva were better imo. Lavezzi MoM. Aye, Lavezzi was definitely the best player on the pitch. Motta is consistently tidy as fuck though, hardly gives the ball away.
  18. Motta is an excellent midfielder tbf.
  19. Pissi. Brett last week as well, wasn't it?
  20. That Ben smiley was fucking designed for stifler like

    Hatem Ben Arfa

If Pardew was in charge of Robson's squad, he'd probably play Robert given the players around him. However, if you moved that version of Robert into this squad he wouldn't get a game under Pardew; no chance. Same goes for Ginola, I think.
  22. Sounds good to me if it's taken more seriously than the current international friendly matches.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Disgraceful that he's sat on the bench. I could tolerate the decision at the end of last year when we were winning games without him, but given how dire we've been since then, he should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Gouffran offers absolutely nothing at either end of the pitch and hasn't for months, if Ben Arfa played half as badly as he has lately he'd be absolutely slated.
  24. The 4/1 for Real will have gone now. Perfect for them really. Great tie Barca/Athletico, can see Psg/Chelsea being a borefest though. Fancy Barca to p*ss that tbh. Not sure i would say p*ss it, favourites obviously but AM will fancy their chances Aye, can't see Barca "pissing" it at all, Atletico are one of those really compact teams that will make Barcelona's life difficult. Haven't their recent meetings been fairly even, ending in draws? Real put their tie to bed in the first leg in the Copa Del Rey. Barca are capable of doing just the same if they turn up. Real are far more suited to playing a side like Atletico than Barca are and have been putting most teams to the sword lately.
