    Preston tonight

There are qu8ite a few good attacking minded football teams in the Championship. Sunderland West Brom Southampton Preston on their day Derby on their day Very entertaining league. Certainly the best Championship year for a while this year. Quite a few premierhip quality teams (West Brom, Birmingham, Sunderland and Derby). Quite a few attacking minded teams. Quite a few young lads doing well. Quite a few young managers doing well.

I put 5£ on Southampto so I am gutted they (Southampton) lost. Mind I thought Southampton play well too. Entertaining, fast pace and attacking foortball certainly. But the best team currently in the championship is Sunderland without a doubt, for a country mile. Both Johny Evan and Nyron Nortsworthy have been relevations. So as Edwards, Yorke, Stoke Simpson. Defensively disciplined, and offensively effective and clinical.
  3. I don't want to sound apologetic to Luque, but One has been poor without trying, the other has been poor despite trying hard (with all due respect to Duff) Who has got more potential Mr Roeder?
  4. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36837.0 ... can't recall seeing a thread started by him that wasn't about the manc wanks [or didn't somehow include a reference to the manc wanks] http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=36837.msg726559#msg726559 tbh Why don't you just apologise for making false accusations and slandering, instead of adding a totally different comment "posthumously" to try to cover your own stupidity?
  5. He could take us up to that level. Would love him here! Bring Dani Alves along also please.
  6. I always prefer to blame to root cause rather than pointing fingers at the reluctant villain. The team playing dully - Manager's fault. Poor manager - Board's fault. Money sucking, debt building, Geordie doggie girls, small clubs waste of space, I want to punch you board - Supporter's fault. Ideally all the NUFC supporters should be good supporters like Delima ( ) and none like (no names here) Freddy lovers. But then NUFC is a privately owned public open institution who can't say no to any money paying supporters, so this is extremely unrealistic. The vast majority of players give their best even if they are poor technically. You can't blame them for being selected into the team. I bet if Roeder asks me to play for him tomorrow I would say yes even though I can't even kick a tennis. So blaming players are stupid. How about blaming the manager? Which medicore manager would turn down the chance to manage Newcastle United? If Shepherd asks me to do so, however much I despise this person, I would say yes. So again manager is an easy target of abuse. The real problem lies on the board. Without a takeover we are hopeless. Once in a while good run will always happen. We could always hit jackpot after 5 or 6 managers. But a consistent good results can only happen if we have a good board. Sack the board.
  7. The new Viera is Abou Diaby of Arsenal. However I don't think Sissoko is overrated. He is a destroyer a very effective destroyer. Just look at him against Barcelona. Even in the game yesterday, Liverpool dominated the midfield. And the central midfield partnership is Alonso + Sissoko. I would say Michael Carrick is more overrated than Sissoko.
  8. The Journal The part I highlighted is very worrying. How can a manager not even speak to a potential transfer target?
  9. Maybe. But I also know many many other young players names (not restricted to Man U players) . And this is perhaps due to me being a well read person?
  10. How do you know I haven't seen them playing? Also for the sake of arguement, I never live through the Holocaust yet I know it happened and I condemn it. Maybe I should chastised for this because I wasn't there?

  12. Johnson did not dive. How can you stay on feet when someone trip you at the bottom of the legs? Just because Johnson earns a lot of foul does not mean that he dives. Serial diver - Steven Taylor
  13. I would like Roeder to go, but I would want the board to find a replacement first.
  14. How do you know so much about Man Utd youth players but don't know anything about you own clubs youngsters? Because I am a well read person?
  15. Thanks Roeder. I have always been somehow worried that you don't see a future in N'Zogbia due to your purchase of Damien Duff.
  16. I thought Troisi is a striker? Can you please kindly rate and describe the potential of each of the player? I am hungry for reserve news but I don't know where to find enough information.
  17. Personally, I have never warmed to Michael Owen as Newcastle United player. Still, do you think he can be back to his best for us? Squarefootball
  18. agreed. which is why messi is not a product of barca. Why?
  19. I don't know where exactly to draw the line. For example, would you say that David Beckham is a Man U youth product? He joined Man U at 17.
  20. Oleguer - My mistake. Didn't realise he has previous club Messi - Joined Barca at 13 Fabregas + Pique - My mistake again thought they joined Arsenal and Man U much later (16 & 17 respectively)
  21. When I construct the team of Barca academy graduates I only include players who are still currently playing actively, and well. I include Albert Luque because the whole Newcastle thingy is a joke, he was a class not so long ago. I have trimmed your Ajax team down to Edwin van der Sar Johnny Heitinga, Nigel de Jong, Urby Emanuelson Clarence Seedorf, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart, Edgar Davids (Steven Pienaar) Patrick Kluivert, Ryan Babel (Benny McCarthy) I don't count Chivu as Ajax youth product as he joined Ajax at 19 years old. On similar reasons I have also discounted Kanu and Trabelsi and Mokoena. Both Piennaar and McCarthy graduated from Ajax Cape Town, not the Ajax Academy proper so I put them on the bench.
  22. José Reina (Victor Valdes) Oleguer Presas, Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, Thiago Motta, Cesc Fabregas (Iván de la Peña) Lionel Messi, Albert Luque, Luis Garcia Is Barcelona the best football academny in the world? Can any other club boost a team like this?
