  1. Is Owen fit !!? I wouldn't have Defoe over Johnson. Keane? 50/50.
  2. We should attack, attack and attack. Squarefootball
  3. I hope thats not in order. it will be... Gejon is my best friend in Newcastle-Online.
  4. Can't believe that Foster appear only once or twice in all these premiership top 5 keeper lists. Prem ------ Ben Foster Shay Given Petr Cech Peipe Reina Jens Lehnman
  5. I don't like to idolise people so I don't really fancy statues for famous players.
  6. Neville is a squad player but he is an extremely valuable squad player for Everton, ie an indispensable first team player as you can't always have first 11 suspension and injury free. Johnson can't just be a squad player. He would walk straight into any team outside top 4. Again same can be said about Cahill. You have to take the financial situation into account. Everton are in depth and they are currently striving to balance the book. So they just can't splash out cash like us and buy top quality players. They have to get value for money and at the price I would definitely say that Neville, Cahill and Johnson have been good buy for them.
  7. I am a fan of Moyes. I think his transfer record is slightly better than simply hit and miss. Pretty sure I miss some others I would say Moyes has exercised due cautions in his transfer activities. I think he is currently "on form" with Lescott, Johnson, Fernandes, Howard. Yobo (3.5m), Neville (3.5m), Lescott (5m), Valente (1.5m), Arteta(2m), Cahill(1.5m), Johnson (8.6m), Carsley (2m), Kilbane (1m) Pistone (3m), Kroldrup (5m), Wright (3m), Van Der Meyde (2m), Beattie (6m), Davies (3.5m) He has also done a lot for your academy. Jeffers, Rooney, Anibeche, Vaughan.

Can anyone help me. When is the semi, and when will the tickets be on sale?

    Theo Walcott

The Guardian What do you guys think about Theo Walcott now? Wenger has been using him as wingers who could inject a sense of urgency into the team. He is still only 17, but do you think he would eventually convert to an electric winger like Aaron Lennon, or will he reclaim his original position as striker? Regardless, I think Walcott is definitely a gem in the making.

    Kenny Miller

Chronicle Yes or no to Kenny Miller? No, for me. Can we please aim for someone better, more proven or better potential?
  11. Ah, more mistakes Given Solano, Taylor, Gooch, Duff Milner, Parker, Emre, N'Zogbia Owen, Martins Harper, Bramble, Edgat, Butt, Dyer

    Youth Cup

When is this Youth Cup final? And when would the tickets be on sale?
  13. I don't think they will stay in premiership if they are promoted, well unless they invest heavily. I would say they have one of the best squad in the championship. Roy Keane is as resourceful as he is ruthless. Marton Fulop Danny Simpson, Johny Evan, Nyron Nostworthy, Danny Collins Carlos Edward, Dean Whitehead, Liam Miller, Dwight Yorke, Graham Kavanagh, Grant Leadbitter, Ross Wallace, Tobias Hysen Anthony Stokes, Stern John, David Connolly Good enough for promotion but not good enough for premiership. They also rely a fair bit on loan and young players (Evan + Simpson, Leadbitter, Wallace, Stokes). I would like to see them up in the premiership next year as it is definitely good to see all north east big clubs in the top flight (Newcastle United, Sunderland AFC, Middlesbrough FC)
  14. Can't believe that Vidic does not appear more often in these lists 1. Nemanja Vidic - Best premiership central defender this year. Win everything in the air and everything on the ground. Has an extremely good concentration and very impressive game reading. He lacks pace but this is easily compensated by his bravery and cynical foul. Many goals conceded by Manchester United happen either when Vidic isn't playing, or outside the penalty box. 2. John Terry - I am still critical of his intelligence but he really does have the aura on him that make teammates perform better and scare the shit out of opponents. His commitments, bravery and leadership are outstanding. These attributes easily compensate his other shortcomings such as lack of space. 3. William Gallas - I don't think he is the best central defender around, although a very good one. But his impressive versatility makes him an extremely valuable defender. Very atheletic. 4. Kolo Toure - He just does his job quietly and effectively. He has partnered many different defenders (Senderos, Djourou, Campbell, Gallas) yet he has always looked very competent. A very atheletic defender, he is the father figure of young Arsenal defenders yet we often forget how young he is actually at 26. 5. Jonathan Woodgate / Rio Ferdinand
  15. Given Solano, Taylor, Gooch, Duff Milner, Parker, Emre, N'Zogbia Owen, Martins Harper, Bramble, Bramble, Dyer, Duff
  16. Sincere thanks for this civilised response. I do not disagree with you that Roeder is doing a decent job. I just think that there are many better managers out there (past record and potential) who can do the job Roeder is doing at the moment. While I appreciate the fact that Roeder has not acted impulsively despite the injury crisis and supporter demands, I don't think he is the man for my ultimate aim, genuine top 6 club. Hence, every day Roeder in charge is every day wasted.
  17. lol tmonkey. You have always produced thoughtful posts. Since when have you changed your style!?
  18. Kuyt and Berbatov would be a poor partnership surely. Why? Both are comfortable to strike and support. They would be very unpredictable and very hard to mark if they play together - appearing all over the pitch and switching roles frequently ala Saha/Rooney.
  19. I don't know how you can be dissapointed by Kuyt. He is class. He does not score a lot of goals, just one goal shy of Martins in premiership. Martins is more talented, but Kuyt is much more rounded. His runs and assists are very good. Shame that Kuyt's partner are either the wasteful one dimensional Belamy or the wasteful Crouch. In a way shame that Martin's partner is the limited Sibierski. Any 2 of Martins, Kuyt and Berbatov would make excellent partnership.
  20. But we all know that Bobby Robson is a class manager. We can trust him to deliver eventually even though the results didn't seem good at first. What has Roeder (with all due respect) got?
  21. So now you have been converted from a Roeder basher to a Roeder lover? Apologies in advance if I am oversimplifying things. Funny that, I have turned into a Roeder - opposer from a Roeder supporter. I still wish Roeder all the best but I have drawn the conclusion that Roeder isn't the right man for this club for long term future, and there are + there were better, more qualified available managers in the market whom we should go for. Gareth Southgate is improving slowly. Stuart Pearce, despite his eccentricities, doesn't look like the man to drag Man City down to Championship. Paul Jewell isn't a bad manager either. Coleman is proven to be decent manager. Warnock is a vastly experienced manager aided by another immensely experience coach Brian Kidd. There are a few up and coming young managers from the Championship, Paul Simpson and Billy Davies. Roy Keane too. What exactly does Roeder offer? Motivation skills? Plenty of managers have that. Academy record? Quite a few clubs are now having very decent academies. Cautios transfer policy? Apart from Curbishley of West Ham you won't see any mad managers spending mad money anymore (unless the club has bottomless money supply) Despite implying about the lack of fund, Roeder has forgetten that he splashed out 10 millions for Martins who brings instance success to us. How many clubs can afford to splash 10m just for a striker? 10m for a successful striker isn't something exceptional. Everton paid 8m for Andy Johnson. Bolton paid 8m for Anelka. Liverpool paid 9m for Dirk Kuyt. Tottenham paid 11m for Berbatov. Aston Villa paid 9m for Ashley Young. Apart from Young the others have proven to be a success just like Martins. What is the edge Roeder has that others don't?
